If PSPs price drop wasn't all, developers are finally pumping all that PSP muscle.

Chains of Olympus

Rainbow Six Vegas

In addition, there are many great exclusives this year, like StarWars Battlefront Renegade, Final Fantasy War of the Lions, Crush, Final Fantasy Anniversary, Logan's Shadow, and Jeanne D'Arc. Good time to have your PSP ready, good time indeed.

It would be just hilarious if PSP like rebounded in sales when there are a few more price drops and overtook the DS.

I prefer my DS to the PSP though just because I like the games more. Pokemon Diamond is more important to me than all the games you listed but I must admit that PSP does have an intriguing lineup this year. I'm impressed.

Agreed, PSP's lineup is starting to look AMAZING. Seriously, can anyone say "psp has no good games" right now and NOT be totally biased?

I think the problem is that people think that the PSP has few good exclusive games. So many of its best games can be found on the PS2 or PS3.

Well that was true a year ago, but right now there are many good exclusive games for it..you just have to look for them. Also, why would I want to buy a PS3? :P

Would you buy the same game twice just to play it on the road?

It's not nearly as bad of a problem anymore, with these new games coming out, but even then, we've yet to see if any of them are really exclusive.

Both PSP and DS have great upcoming games but I prefer the DS lineup. Its not the PSP only that has great games coming for this year. The DS has great upcoming games too. I could list them.

Yeah, yeah, I know about all of those. But you have to admit that the ratio of ports to exclusives is much, much higher on the PSP than on the DS. That creates the perception I was talking about: that a lot of the PSP's good games can be found on the PS2.

True, the PSP is really shaping up great.
Still prefer the upcoming DS lineup (BiA:DS looks awesome and PHANTOM HOURGLASS), but the PSP is finally coming into its own.

Pokemon= PSP's good games this year will be wasted.  Nothing can compete with a Nintendo handheld getting a Pokemon version (exepct MAYBE, the 360 getting Halo 3).  Not to mention throw in Phantom Hourglass and the PSP is dead this year.

We don't have to. Those 30+ ports ARE actual ports, no ambiguity. Or at least multiplatform and available on other systems.

the only interesting ones to me are Chains of olympus and FF Aniversary.

I can already list a bunch of DS games that can counter those Psp games.

DQ9, FF 4, its a wonderful life, Zelda:PH, and theirs FF Rings of fate.

My apologies if I got some of these wrong. I know there are people out there who will point out one thing wrong with the list, and they think it invalidates my entire list.

Everyone's argument is why play a game on the PSP when I can play a better version on another platform? For some reason a lot of people don't think it applies to the DS. It truly baffles me to no end.

Yeah I know a lot of these games suck, but you have to admit, they usually ARE better on another platform than the DS.

This many utterly shock you, but I prefer the DS's lineup.

That's why when I said the PSP had thirty ports/multiplats out of 55 games while the DS had only four ports/multiplats out of 25 games, I was referring to all of their games rated 8.0-8.9 (excluding the AAAs, because I already know that they are exclusives), to limit the selection to games that most people would consider worth playing.

I'm sure if I looked at 7.0-7.9 games, I'll find an even higher ratio of ports/multiplats to exclusives on the PSP, and an even lower ratio on the DS, because a lot of the DS's most unique games are rated low in graphics and sound.
