Like your post states, these numbers account for U.S sales ONLY! The PS4 is still selling more than the Xbox One worldwide, Xbox One sold over 3 million compared to over 6 million units for the PS4.

U.S has always been microsofts big market, and even though the month of Febuary indicated sales were close to the PS4, its still loosing as far as consoles sold (in there main market!). You also have to factor in that the PS4 is out of stock in major online retailers, and in stores. Amazon continuously runs out of stock on a day to day basis.

If you have a stake in the companies, this matters. I do own stock in both. The X1 does sell at a small profit on each console sold, and I really think that was the point of the $500 price point. They wanted to be in the black on revenue from new gen sales out the gate. PS4 sells at a small loss to Sony. I know the way that will be spun by some here. I am glad both consoles are serving the companies, and share holders. It makes the industry much more interesting when you get involved.

Define winning? If you were a company which metric would you care about most? More hardware sales or more Revenue?

Agreed, the last of us wiped the floor with gaming awards and everyone i have spoken too has said how amazing the game is, Naughty dog are incredibly talented developers and in a few years i expect people to look at naughty dog with the same respect we show Developers like ID, Valve and epic.

Anyway for us gamers it's clear who's winning, PS4.

At least they're not forced to buy PS eye and pay for Gold to play anything online, and they got PS+ first meaning Sony was already giving before them. And PS3 is still getting exclusive Support so they don't necessarily feel forced to get the new console right away to get anything new.

Lastly M$ isn't earning that money from xbox it's earning that money from Monopoly on the OS market.

Owning a PC ... its actually a possibility.... there wer about what 10-15 exclusives on the PS3 worth owning if you didn't have aPC ,,, IN ITS LIFETIME.

Also revenue is greater but net income is about the same. M$ makes slightly more off each xbone sale than Sony so from a competitive standpoint both companies are equal in that regard right now.

Sony still makes more profit worlwide, so this is in no way some sort of advantage to Microsoft. You Lemmings are singling out certain countries to make the Xbone seem like more of a success.

And with a higher install base means more software sales which is where the profit is. PS4 is beating Xbone in profit. deal with it.

I used these numbers because these are the most recent CONFIRMED sales numbers, and of course each of those numbers has grown as of now and the next CONFIRMED sales figures will show higher numbers of consoles sold (worldwide).

The Xbox One is only the "revenue king" in the US, its strongest market. It's a completely different story in the rest of the world, where the PlayStation brand has always been more popular.

And even in the US, since the PS4 and Xbox One both have similar profit margins, and the PS4 sold more units in the US, that would make the PS4 the "profit king" in the US.
