Not to mention some fantastic games!

Check out this video for NiGHTS into Dreams for the Sega Saturn. The game was so brilliant and unique that it has a cult-like following to this day.

The story goes like this. Sega where originally going to release a motion sensing controller on the Dreamcast, similar to sixaxis on the Playstation 3. NiGHTS into Dreams 2 (which was originally planned for the Sega Saturn) was then moved onto the Dreamcast, but cancelled for obvious reasons.

So here we are one generation later, and Sega are reintroducing NiGHTS 2 for the Wii. You can read more about the history here.

The concept of the game is that you are flying in a dreamlike state.

Pictured above are two worlds. I can't wait until the other five worlds are pictured. :)

The official release date for NiGHTS into Dreams 2 is close to September this year.

I never played the original NiGHTS, but I've heard that it was awesome.  Now that it's coming out for the Wii, I might finally get a chance to play this weirdly compelling series.

Buy a Playstation 3 and miss out then. The initial attraction is only phase one of the gaming emotion. Once you move beyond it you are sometimes left with a hollow feeling inside. Gears of War being the obvious exception.

Great graphics and great gameplay is a fantastic combination. But don't miss out on fantastic gameplay just because it doesn't grab you straight away. NiGHTS was an awesome game, a genuine underdog.

Yeah, that's what everyone says.  I never did get a chance to play the original one because I never owned a Saturn, thus the initial sense of nostalgia doesn't hit me as hard as others who loved it back in the day.

The Saturn is my only retro console and Nights is one of the many reasons I still keep the old Dust gatherer around.

That's actually a hard choice for me. I like MSG and all, but 2000 wii points is yummy and so are 3 of the 5 games you listed (so I save $60, so it's actually $600)

See, I'd rent a PS3, rent MGS4, complete it, and then buy the Wii (minus FF:CC).
