YOUR candidates for GOTY

Title says all. I'd have to say Uncharted 2 definatly has a major chance of getting it, and if not, at least a nominee. It's won who knows how many rewards and hasn't even been released yet! Also inFamous (or Prototype for those without and Xbox 360) could be nominated, although I highly doubt that they'd win. Killzone 2 has a chance of winning. I don't know too much about the current Microsoft games but I hear that they have some good ones coming. It's going to be a tough decision for Gamespot...

Can I borrow your copy of Uncharted 2?

I don't think Killzone 2 has any chance of winning, however my bet is on Uncharted 2 (unless starcraft 2 is coming out this year)

Mass Effect 2 and Bioshock 2 ARE NOT Contenders, they are 2010 titles.

I would say RE5, but that was kinda a let down compared to RE4, and it scored 8.5.

I guess so far, I would guess the AAA's this year :

Killzone 2, InFAMOUS, MLB 09:The Show, StreetFighter 4, (Any AAAs I forgot?) and I would now guess at future AAA's, which would be :

I'm sure I forgot some AAA's, but that's all I can think of for now. Guessing the future is hard, because you also have to guess at the WEBSITES history. It's not about what I like, it's about what GS likes.

Scribblenauts or Borderlands are the two I think that stand out the most this year.

anyways i think this will win as its something new and unique gameplay

id say for the ps3, the only chance they have is GT5 or Uncharted 2.while the 360 has halo:odst, l4d2,and what i believe is a sleeper for goty that no one has talked about.splinter cell:conviction.ubisoft montreal is a proven dev and the sc franchise has proven itsself time and time again to be very good.mutli-plats:we have assassins creed 2, MW2(which is my pick), brutal legend(critics are waayyyy to soft for schafer games.idk why),borderlands, and beatles:rock band.i believe all these have a chance for goty.but i still think mw2 will win for a couple reason.one, IW is an awesome developer and many havebeen dying for a sequel to cod4.and since its multi-plat, its likely sites will give it to them to prevent rabbid fanboys from chewing their legs off, as what would happen if they picked an exclusive.

Brutal Legend will be my GOTY. Tim Schafer doesn't disappoint.

I guess you can tell what kind of year we've been having when people need to list fall/winter games for contenders and we're already at the end of july.. :?
