Your favorite game from your least favorite system

For me, the least favorite system that I owned was Xbox One. And my favorite game from that system was Halo 5! Indeed, the multiplayer was fun. I also liked the tweaks they made to the Halo formula. Did I like it more than Halo Infinite multiplayer? Hmm.. I’m going to say yes, except the graphics lol. What about you, SW? What was your favorite game from your least favorite system?

From what i've owned, probably the PS4, and the game would be Bloodborne. Even tho everyone is praising the system to have all these great games n shit, the system was so severly underpowered from day one that it was painful to spend $95cad on a game that you know for a fact will run between 20-30fps. That's just torture.

Well my least favourite system was the 3DO but honestly didn’t really play much at all on it so not really sure what my favourite game on it was. Maybe Gex.

If we’re talking about one console from a company, I’d say I like Axiom Verge from my least favorite Nintendo system which is the WiiU

Overall however I’d say uncharted from any Sony console.

Super Mario 3D Land - 3DS

Probably Skies of Arcadia Legends on Gamecube. Wii was the worst system I bought but there's nothing worth playing on that system.

My least favorite is the PS5, but my favorite game from that system is Gran Turismo 7. Best simcade racer graphically and career wise this gen.

On the Wii U -- Super Mario Maker. There were so many good levels that people made. Frankly, Nintendo should hire some of them. There was nearly an infinite amount of replayability. I'm a huge fan of the Super Mario Maker series; hopefully Nintendo releases a new one soon.

The Switch, and technically it would be Valkyria Chronicles that happens to be my favorite game and it is on the Swtich, but i'll go with a exclusive, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, The story is predictable and repetitive, but it has some endearing characters, nice music and the gameplay is interesant.

My least favorite system is probably the Psp. Favorite game.... maybe one of the GoW titles? Or Daxter?

The Switch , 3DS and Wii U are all competing for 2nd place. DK Tropical Freeze and Smash 3DS are my game picks

Least favorite is probably the Xbox One, but GC and Wii U aren’t far behind. So, one from each:

Wii U = Super Mario 3D World

Xbox One = Cuphead

GC = Eternal Darkness

RE4 is the obvious answer for GC but I didn’t play it until way after GC was dead and gone.

I think the only game I enjoyed playing on the PSP was Dungeon siege. It was one of the few games where the control layout of the PSP matched well with that type of game. Wipeout was also pretty good. The PSP was just an odd system.

Tiger Game.com....Solitaire (it had a touch screen which was useful).

Metroid Dread on the Switch.

Super Smash Bros Brawl on the Nintendo Wii.

Kinda tough since I do like all the systems I own, but least favorite would probably OG Gameboy or Neo Geo Pocket Color. Donkey Kong 94 is one of my favorite GB games, and Gals Fighters for NGPC.

Probably killzone on PS3.

Motorstorm and Motorstorm Pacific Rift on PS3, there's just not arcade racers like it. Wasn't a fan of Motorstorm Apocalypse though, just felt so unpolished and incomplete.

I never owned any systems or games that I didn't like. Had a PSP for a short time , had to sell it as I was focused on job and the games I loved on it were God of War COO and GOS, thankfully they later released on PS 3 in HD.

The absence of Motorstorm left a hole that hasn't been filled

We used to have a plethora of racing games, but now all we seem to have is semi-sim racers. Even Forza Horizon, which is mostly an arcade game still leans into realism way more than into the fantastical.

And all that Playstation does offer is a sim racer like GT7.

I have Motorstorm Arctic Edge on my Retroid Pocket 4 pro and I still play it from time to time (I have it on my PSP as well).

I technically haven't played a game on my least favorite system, which is the PS Vita. I've owned it since launch and the only game I've played on it is Disgaea 3 which is a PS3 port. But if we exclude that, then I'd probably say Beneath A Steel Sky for the Amiga 500

@R4gn4r0k: I did really enjoyed Onrush, didn't do well commercially, and only so-so critically, and it wasn't the spiritual successor to Motorstorm people were expecting, but I thought it was a worthwhile game for what it was

I don't really have a least favorite system. They've all produced compelling moments in the medium. I've owned systems I thought had great games that didn't sell well... Like Bonks Adventure on TG16 was great! As we're it's sequels. Gravity rush was an awesome exclusive vita game that I really enjoyed... Vita was a mess for Sony but one of my favorite systems.

I guess though to truly answer the question as close as possible I would say "Eternal Darkness" on the GameCube. The Nintendo GameCube was a baron wasteland for games for a long time.... It stands as the only console I ever sold mid generation to switch and overall as much as I like the GameCube now, at the time it was a mess while my friends were playing gta and halo.

I thought Eternal Darkness was some incredible gaming though. I loved ever second of it.

Theres gold on the GameCube it's the last system Nintendo actually cared about power and it failed.

Infamous Second Son on PS4 was pretty great.

PS3 was a terrible system with mostly terrible games, but it had Dead Nation. Never owned a PS3 though, wouldn't even cross my mind to get one, lol.

Worst system I've owned though? Maybe GameBoy Color, since I don't remember any games.

PS4 is probably my least liked console, and that's because I haven't found a great game yet.

I had many problems with the device.

Releasing the device and charging 599$ for it was incredibly expensive with no justification. Absoloutely no games at release. The sixaxis was terrible, I didn't like the dualshock 3 very much. The bad online experience, the Xbox 360 had a way better multiplayer/online.

Nontheless, I do think it was better than the Wii.

Yeah, Wii was just a GameCube with waggle controls. But I prefer that over a PS3.

Least favorite system GBA, but I loved the Star Wars Pod Racing game on it.

Switch - Game Dev Story. I loved the game so much I somehow bought the game on Switch, mobile and PS. Its one of very few "indie" game I play

Xbone - Ryse. Tbh its just a decent game. I sold the xbone in 2015 so not a lot of games played since I am mostly on PS4. Unfortunate I never played Quantum Break.

Time to play Bloodborne.

Yeah Im not really understanding the PS4 hate. In the collector community it is well liked for the amount of games AAA, Indie, Limited Run, Remaster Collections, ETC. It's becoming my new favorite console to collect for. And great thing about it is that the PS5 is backwards compatible.

I would understand the hate more if it were Ps5, as I don't think it stands on its own very well, but piggy backs on the ps4 due to BC.

PS4 and favorite game for the system was Horizon Zero Dawn.

I guess that would be the Wii U with Xenoblade Chronicles X. I used to be a big defender of it, but it's hard to look back on it fondly now. I liked the gamepad but it was so under utilized. Mine is mostly used for Xenoblade X and Wii games.

I hate the switch, I hate the design of it, I hate the feel of it, I hate the e-shop, I hate the Nintendo fanbase, they are disgusting man-children.

Overall, Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers was ok, even though got ripped off. And it was dumbed down visually years back, and they eventually attempted to charge for online for no other reason than "our fanbase is dumb, gib money now".

But I played a fair bit, something like 100 hours, so still got me moneys worth.

@sakaixx: I actually own it, but have no desire to play it because people like you who have bad taste in gaming shill it, thats what puts me off playing the game 🤷‍♂️

Now since you cows don't really understand what good gameplay is (you guys think Last of Us is top tier) I could waste however long it takes to finish it then come here and make a thread pointing out it's faults, but I dont care enough to that. Consider yourself lucky 🤣

@Star67: I'm just trying mostly Sony first party for the ps4, and the games are lacking in exciting gameplay.

Sure they take care of the graphics but gameplay feels like an afterthought for Sony's devs.

Maybe the Sony fanbase should be called cats because they get enamoured with shiny things (graphics in the case of cows) like cats do 🤣

I know Fromsofts games and their gameplay mechanics, they don't interest me.
