@last_lap: I have played AND beat more than 200 games in my life. Many of those considered some of "The best of the best" games ever made. As I've said, I go out of my way to play what people rave about before commenting.

I dont doubt you've played many sony games you dont like, but going by your posts here I'm pretty sure you've a bias opinion against it. Yes, its a thing.

You can say whatever you want, but no unbias person could ever say TLoU has bad gameplay, cause it sure doesnt. To this day I havent played a game with better and more fluid transition between stealth and action than TLoU2. Its AI is some of the best I've ever seen on a game of its genre. If you have played one, then please, point it out cause I sure would love to play it

I've beaten more than a few thousand games in my life, so 200 isn't that great and kinda shows your limitations when judging games.

The Last of Us gameplay is clunky at best, walking into rooms and Ellie follows and you bump into each other all the time, walking up to the back of a cabinet and the button prompt comes up to grab the supplies, only being able to climb up in certain ways on certain things, moving around the garbage bin waiting for the button to appear on screen to climb up is so hit & miss. Not being able to run whenever you want and the game only allowing you to jog, horses are also the same when it comes to jumping on them and riding them and having them jump, just clunky, there is just so much disjointed gameplay. How anyone can say it plays great is beyond me.

That's not a bias opinion, it's just a factual observation I got from playing the game, it's never smooth to the point you don't notice it.

Gunplay is similar, you can hit an enemy from 10 metres away and they die first hit with the shotty, but then the next guy is 5 metres away and takes 3 slugs to die. The best gun in the game is machine gun is only given to you in the last 10mins of the game when you're in the hospital.

I believe that people get engrossed into the story that tend to forgive the gameplays many shortcomings.

The best game i've played on the PS4 so far is Horizon, and while it's a good game, it doesn't do anything outstanding either, but its gameplay is serviceable to the point you don't notice it jarring with the game, so it's a good thing.

I don't play games based on others opinions hence why I take reviews with a grain of salt, I play based on gameplay videos for games I don't know what i'm getting.

And you're probably talking about TLoU 1 wich is kinda dated now. I was talking about Part II wich is much better on the gameplay department, worse on story. You can find flaws in ANY game. Thats why I asked you what you consider to have good game gameplay. I can do what you did and also shred it to pieces by pointing out its flaws to make it look worse than it actually is. Thats bias argument and thats exactly what you did.

Why did you put it on private? Afraid of what people might find out? That you play these games you think you're knowledgeable about once on its easiest difficulty? XDDDD

So, you start out by saying that probably 90% are racing games to try and discredit the games i've played. I've been playing games for 40yrs in every genre (except VR, not that its a genre but still)

When I point out all of the Last of Us' (as i've clearly stated to you) faults, you don't try to a counter argument because you know the faults with the gameplay are true. You then say, oh but i'm talking about part 2, which was never mentioned until NOW.

I made a PS account back in the PS3 days, but didn't use it for nearly 10yrs and had to start another one the PS4 because I had for gotten all my sign in deets, and no my username is not the same as the one on here.

@last_lap: Go check out my previous post. I specifically said Part II has the best AI and transitions from stealth to action on a game of its genre, not THE ORIGINAL. And of course I aknowledge its flaws... like EVERY game's flaws. No such thing as a perfect game. What you did was picking some stuff up and make the game sound worse than it is. Its a common strategy used by fanboys. I know because I do it too, guilty as charged. The thing you did was called bias argument and nothing else.

At the second part, how convenient. So you have nothing to prove your claim of being a "legit" gamer. You know nothing but racing games here, and even as such you're a fan of a racing series that is frowned upon within the hardcore racing comunity (Forza Motorsport, not Horizon wich is a series loved more by casuals) so even that puts your tastes in check. I doubt you know what even actual good gameplay is

I specifically said to you from early on cows' best game, and cows don't consider part 2 as the best game, cows claim that the OG Last of Us is the goat, I clearly stated I was talking about the first game, you entering part 2 into the chat a half a dozen posts later doesn't change anything.

Me playing and finishing the Last of Us and not liking it much because of all its flaws that drag you out of any immersion have nothing to do with being a fanboy. It's not my fault that ND made the game with clunky gameplay, that's on ND.

@last_lap: I game ever since the mid 90's. The og Resident Evil being the game that pulled me into gaming. I highly doubt you've been playing longer than me. You probably will say you've been playing before that without any back up to your claim like you did when I asked you to show me your gaming profiles and you conveniently pushed that aside, but I digress

Sony fans praised TLoU because at the time of its release it was a good game, but kinda dated by now. People bashed on part 2 because of the story but its gameplay is definitely above the original. Same thing with Uncharted. People liked and praise more U2, because at the time of its release it was good, but despite U4 and Lost Legacy having better gameplay, people still see U2 with sparkly eyes. Gears 5 has better gameplay than the OG gears, but fans will say the og Gears is the better one. Its pretty normal because people are blinded by nostalgia.

Edit: oh, and btw, going by my PSN profiles, I've 285 games on my trophy list. Out of those 285, I only havent beat 5 (yet). If we count the games I played on PC, Switch, Wii, Gameboy, PS1, PS2, PSP, and a few other PS3 games that never received trophies (like Heavely Sword, or The Darkness, etc, etc) than I have probably beaten way above 300 games in my gaming "career". Way more than I've thought tbh

I've been gaming on console for 40yrs as I got an Atari first before moving onto Sega.

I have every console (main players) except for Switch, PS5 & the NES because it broke, but I still own every other consoles/handhelds and thousands of games.

I have nearly 700k in gamerscore on Xbox, so i've finished more games on Xbox alone then you have in your entire gaming life, and yet you claim I know nothing about good gameplay lol.

I stand by my opinions of the Last of Us, you can make whatever excuses you want for it, but for me it's a 6/10 at best.
