Meh Mass Effect has great music imo, but that sentence goes to the first one. Outside of the tracks you presented for the sequel and a few others, most of the score just felt incongruous to me--It felt like most of them didn't have an identity:

For Example this one, which starts good, but then you get to the 32 second mark and you wonder: Wth is this? God of War?

Compare that to something like this:

I mean not to show my distante for the sequel any further, a lot of you guys are probably getting tired of it, but this was just another thing in it that left me dissatisfied. I hope it improves in the third one, because the track in the first Mass Effect gave a lot of personality to the Universe and helped the player become more immersed in it.

My favorite musical score from a game would have to be the scores from the Halo series. They were just so good.

So many games with scores that I love...

But if I had to pick one, it would be the first Super Mario Galaxy. Specifically...

They just have a Disney at its best feel to them, and I can't help but smile when I hear it.

I actuallu have to agree with you on that point. ME1's music is, on average, much better than ME2's. Whilst ME2 does have some highlights, some of which are better than ME1's best - notably, the ones I posted, and the Overlord and Lair of the Shadow Broker music, the majority of them you simply wouldn't be able to pick out of a crowd, you can't really... link the music with a certain point in time, like you can with ME1's - if I heard something like the Therum or Ilos ones you posted, I'd immediately be able to say they were Therum/Ilos, same with all the music, but something like this: Legion's Theme or this: Garrus's Theme, or the one you posted above - not so much.
