Not sure who's my most favorite. The ones that come to mind immediately: Solid Snake, Revolver Ocelot, Kratos, Dante (DMC), Vergil, Leon S. Kennedy, Regina (Dino Crisis), and Pyramid Head.

Considering I'm in love with Etna, Etna.

Seriously though, I honestly have mixed feelings about it. If it was a few years ago it would have been one thing,but now,looking at the state of SEGA and how they treat their biggest franchises(especially Sonic),I don´t know if I want the Shenmue franchise to be ruined. Besides,Yu Suzuki is no longer relevant to SEGA,so...

On the other hand,I really,really want to see the story finished...

Man,it must be a bummer to Ryo and Shenhua,living in that damn cave for almost a decade,they surely aren´t amused.:D

While a game with deep characters is always great, I like the badass characters more, whether cliche or not. Nier is an exception.

I heartily agree with this. BTW; have you played any of the Mario & Luigi RPGs? Luigi shares the spotlight. Bowser and Yoshi come next.

I've got a bunch of favorite characters

Dragon Age:Origins - Shale,Sten and Morrigan
Mass Effect Series: Mordin,Wrex,Garrus,Grunt,Miranda and Legion
Call of Duty: Captain Price
Warhammer: Any of the Orcs
KOTOR: HK-47

If I had to choose one I'd probably go with HK-47...probably one of the most memorable characters I've seen in a game. Any of BioWare's characters tend to be really well done. The voice acting for Commander Shepard,Miranda,Morrigan and Garrus was pretty insane and the matched the characters perfectly. Not to mention the little funny bits they add in to the characters. Shale and HK-47's funny jokes about humanity. Sten's love of cookies.

BioWare is pretty much king when it comes to designing characters.

Best character from SA easily. The GTA games always have interesting and funny character except for GTA IV, but luckily the episodes and RDR made up for that. Yusuf in The Ballad of Gay Tony reminded me a lot of OG Loc
