Your Favourite RTS game?? (No 56k)

Starcraft of course is the greatest rts of all time, but warhammer soulstorm holds a special place in my heart

Age of Empires II and StarCraft are among my all time favorites real time strategy games.

I have Empire at War and the battles never have that kind of scale because of the unit restrictions, is that the expansion? I'm not that far into the game though I do enjoy it very much (in space at least).

But my favourite strategy game by a country mile is ROME: TOTAL WAR no other game to me has the scale and sense of history that really immerses you in the total war series and rome is where it became truly great. I would sit down to play it at 4 in the afternoon and Id suddenly realise it was2 amand I had college in the morning, ah the memories.

Aye, it's impossible to have so many units without removing the pesky limit.

Luckily there is a mod, though I'm sorry I can't link it for you since I don't know if that's ok or not. :(

Though it's fairly easy to find, just search Empire at War Files , and the mod should be one of the most downloaded.

Wow, I need to play more RTSs, I never even touched Starcraft!

Yep, someone said it earlier, HOMEWORLD. Don't get me wrong, for ease of play it's CnC for me all the way, but for epic strategy battles in a completely 3D environment, Homeworld is absolutely unbeatable.

Favorites of all time. I was pretty much a little kid, but I logged hours and hours into these games.

World In Conflict. I like the focus on tactics over resource management. Most of the RTS genre turns me off, because I'm really not interested in running a mining operation.
