Your Halo 3 stories!

(You could argue this thread doesn't fit in SW, but as it's about the enjoyment of one of the most influential games in MS' position in the console race I think it's valid enough to discuss)

So. Halo 3 players... I know there's a few of you out there... What are your Halo 3 highlights so far? if you post campaign spoilers, please use spoiler tags.

Here's a few of my Halo 3 highlights:

[spoiler] Every damn awesome Scarab fight in the campaign, especially the first. [/spoiler]

Getting a plasma nade stick on Construct as I fell down a few levels past a guy

Getting a double kill from a plasma grenade stick on a guy in Narrows

Mancannoning on Narrows to land on a guy's head, who I then melee'd.

2 people from my team and 3 from the other team all getting into the opposite mancannons on narrows at the same time and only one person surviving the clash

Playing a forged map called Organ Trail, where Sandtrap has been editted so one of the underground bits is totally fortified but for the entrance. So much awesome fun. "Hell's Janitor!"

My first game of Rocket Race on sandtrap today. Flying spinning mongooses!

Beating down a tank with the flag in a Multi-flag CTF on Valhalla

Multi-team Swords on Isolation. Hilarious.

Flipping the Elephant in Forge mode

Getting "Vehicular Manslaughter" medal on Big Team Slayer on Last Resort

So. Who else is having fun, and with what? :D

Beating Tsavo Highway 7 times on Legendary and having it say I still havent completed it.

Everyone playing this game is weaksauce. Well almost everyone.

I got a rampage today, or something else. Gold medal.. 20 kills no death. I was so close to getting a perfect game, but I got cocky unfortunately. Oh well.

Actually, I've got a pretty funny story.

Played a game of VIP on Last Resort. Picked up the active camo, had a shotgun and waltzed into the base. I remember hearing one of them say "One of them is coming up the stairs!". I walked up, and there was 5 of them looking so confused.

Not one could see me apparently, so they all walked past me and I walked behind the VIP and well.. Murdered him.

Also today I got put in a game of Swords on the Pit and there were some idiots moaning because apparently I'm too good with the sword. So good, that I can't use any other weapon. :roll: I love the Halo community.

in multiplayer on Valhalla map, i throw a plasma nade on the man canon thing (you know the thing that sends you flying in the air) and the plasma nade landed right on top of a warthog with 2 enemies :D warhog blew up but the dudes didnt die :( also bling headshots are awesome :D and theres many more :) all saved up on my 360 HDD thx to Saved film feature

Well, I guess I'll add the time I jumped from a cliff to a Scarab using the Mongoose. :D Man that was awesome.

Playing Elephant Battle with my friends you can only kill a person when we played that if they are on the Elephant and if your on one aswell.

i had perfect game, 27 kills on Valhalla CTF and no deaths at all, lasted 8 minutes....and i dodged countless rockets and bullets...thx to banshee :D i didnt let the enemy team take our flag 2 foot away from our base lol

on narrows, shott snipes, I went on the man cannon and no scoped a guy that was on the bridge. I would show it but I don't know how to transfer the video from my 360 to my pc.Dopemonk736

I have almost the exact same thing in my file share from my first day with the game. :D

In terms of transferring your videos, they're not saved as videos, only as game data which is recreated by the game engine so... If you want to put it on Youtube or whatever, you're going to need some kit like a capture card really.

I hate it when I'm paired with idiots on my team, which is usually on a regular basis. There was someone in a banshee and they weren't even trying to kill it even though it was killing us all pretty horridly.

I think I was the only one that attempted to get the spartan laser, in the end I just used an overcharged plasma shot. I don't have time for idiots.

Oh yeah I remember some other time, I was playing High Ground. Team Slayer I think, and my mic had messed up so I went and picked up the laser. Then someone on my team was following me and kept trying to hit me, got in my way, idiotic stuff like that.

After about 5 minutes my mic switched on and I heard the guy calling me ****kid. ;/ So after I win the game single handedly I just hear him and his idiot friend saying "I can't believe ****kid beat my score. ****ing ****kid.".

And that my friends is why I never talk in a game of Halo.

Anyone else loving the Hammergeist game? That's just pure carnage. One guy knocked me from one end of the map to the other.SpigleyMcCheese

Haven't played it. What's it like? And link us to it so we can queue it for download.

I don't know if any new gametype is going to instantly grab me as much as Rocket Race has today. I was laughing so hard.

It's swords, but with gravity hammers. It's one of the new standard game types.

Waste of time really, to me at least. I never found the gravity hammer a satisfying or an interesting weapon. Giving everyone the same thing just makes it even less interesting.

you think thats bad two days ago i go i was playing territories on Sand trap and three of my teamates had no clue how to play the game type even though i kept telling them over and over again, this was a ranked game by the way and of course we lost cause my team just ran around the map like a bunch of noobs

Oh.it's hammerzeit... I thought it was great fun. There was absolutely no skill involved, just everyone piling into the middle of the map and getting thrown straight back out of it.

It is frustrating playing with fools. I think I was playing a game of.. Elimination, that's it.

One person quit, the other two on my team weren't moving. So basically it was me vs 4 people. Funnily enough I won the first round by myself, then my team started to move and we lost every other game.

I was about to cough up blood from the frustration. Sometimes in CTF games I just have to abandon all hopes of 'teamwork' and rush in with my shotgun + battle rifle.

A lot of the times it works.... Hmm.

I say we should all post out Gamertags and play a game. I could do with a lighthearted game, I still haven't played rocket race.

Pssht, I was on Valhalla today and someone kept trying to run me down in a mongoose. 3 times he drived past me, each time I would jump over him and stick him with a plasma grenade.

I love sticky grenades.

It all started when an upity blue team member decides to talk bad bout' my momma when he tried to run me over. I promptly boarded his car and held him at gunpoint: And said, "SAY WHAT AGAIN ****** ******"". Then I punched him outa the warthog. Vandalvideo

This upgraded forge zombie game on construct. where the sword is. The zombiee shields are low. So only a few hits kill them.

I got a a killapocalypse. with the BR on the spot where the sword is. Just campede and headshoteed all the zombies coming through the narrow path 300 sty-le.

Hilarious.

Also in terms of campaign. the1stscarab fight. Me and my friends said HOLY SPIT when it walked right over us.

The 2 scarabs at once fight was also TRULY EPIC on 4 player legendary.

THe last little vehicle run was so much better in 3 than 1. I loved it.

There are people like this in almost any community. You have to ignore them, because well, they are just insecure because you are better than they are. :PDrinkDuff

Best: almost got a 10 game winning streak but out of 10 games in a row I lost one game :cry:

Worst: Earlier today I was in a Big team battle Territories on last resort and my team got spanked 10-3 and the 3 points where because of me...

My Halo 3 story is tragic lol. My friend is a 360 owner and he'd bought the game a couple days ago. After inviting me to come around, we played through 5 or 6 missions and eventually we came to the final mission "Halo". After failing the jeep section numerous times:D We finally beat the game. The final movie started playing *SPOILER* Master Chief crawled his way to safety on the fleeing ship *END SPOILER* The screen went black and as we both eagerly awaited the final movies of a truly epic game... we got a DISC READ ERROR!:shock:

For a number of reasons we couldnt go back and refinish the game, so if anyone can tell me what else happens at the end of the game I'd be much appreciative:D.

some stories include, one time i was playing in valhalla and i picked up the trip mine. i man canon to hte middle and i see a warthog coming at me with 2 guys in it. i drop my trip mine and tehy realize it. the driver goes in reverse but the trip mine was rolling and following there hog. after 15 secs they come to a dead end and the mine stucks on the hog and i get a double kill. pretty neat stuff,
