Do you like it? Do you hate it? I'm curious to see if the Gamespot Community likes Final Fantasy or not.
My opinion on Final Fantasy? It should've been put down a long time ago.

Ultima? :)I like Final Fantasy, I see it as the Mario of RPGs. Everyone who likes RPGs will like at least one Final Fantasy.enterawesome
the only one i've enjoyed was FF IV on the DS.
though i do plan on getting FFXIII for the 360, i thinks its time to make it FINAL fantasy

I see no reason not to at least enjoy one of them.
i dont know why its really even worth looking at as a series. the games have very little consistency after 6, have virtually nothing to do with one another, and very so wildly in quality.
for reference tactics is the best thing ever done with the ff name
Final Fantasy was king of the mountain in 1994, but it is outclassed by other RPG series and games now, especially here in the West.
I've played only one: FF4 Advance. Love it. I feared it would be too easy, like Pokemon. But it is actually really hard at times (maybe it has something to do with me running away from almost all my battles (once I learned to :P)).
I really want to get into this franchise.

Where is SMT? :( and wtf at DQ? I thought only people in japan land played that.SMT is good but I don't consider it one of the best its at the same level as tales for me and I played DQ VII, VIII, IV(DS) and V(DS) they were amazing.
It's a very popular series that has a huge fanbase that's big enough to leave a sizable number of it's members unsatisfied with whatever they produce. The games themselves are usually of high quality, but I do feel that they they were behind the curve in terms of gameplay from time to time. Fortunately Final Fantasy XIII is a big step up in terms of gameplay and hopefully the series will garner more respect for the great design that encompasses the game.
Never really been disappointed with any Final Fantasy game, with the exception of Final Fantasy XI. For an online role playing game, there was just far too much grinding and too much reliance on other players. The rest of the games in the main series have always been worth a playthrough; especially Final Fantasy VI and VII. I must have played through those two a good five or six times.
Overall I like the FF series alot, I just wish they would try to narrow down the userbase they aim for, become more specialised again.
I have not liked all FF games, it mostly depends on the story told, but I think I liked nearly half of them and atleast respected the other games in the series.
I do prefer the Persona games overall, but FF is sort of unique to me.
It has had some truly magnificent games in it's years, but some duds as well. It's still a popular, high-selling franchise and one of my favorites. I hope it goes strong for years to come.
The only Final Fantasy game I've played was Crystal Chronicles on the Gamecube, and that was so long ago ider it. I am getting FF13 on the PS3, though, because my friend tells me it's a great series and I do love JRPGs. The trailers have been winning me over, too.
the only one I played for more than 10 minutes was X. It was good, but its like.. eh Just didnt grab me
Its an aquired taste. I for one don't paticurarily enjoy the story and dialogue and gameplay, but I admit it is a good game for fans of that sort of thing. I just don't like it though
