It's not shovelware.if not acknowledging things like sesame street and dance central as even somewhat respectable games, makes me an elitist, than that is a title I will proudly hold. i refuse to give lip service to casual, shovelware schlock.

This is shovelware:
Dance Central, and seemingly Dance Central 2, are dance games.
Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster looks like a good game for small children.
My response to them is that if I want to dance I'll go out to a club, and I have no small children. I don't necessarily like the games, but they're not for me. And that you nor I are the market for these games doesn't make them not games. And potentially quality games in their respective genres.
They will be shallow kinect games what else is new.White_Dreamshave u played dance central ? cuz if u call it shallow u obviously ha vent played it
Shallow in what way? No blood? No they just won't be that deep, they're mini games.[QUOTE="White_Dreams"]They will be shallow kinect games what else is new.AngryJuice
[QUOTE="Arach666"]My response? Looks like a great game for children, but not really a game for the denizens of SW.arbitor365
im calling BS on the idea that games like "sesame street" are fine because they pander to their "little kid" audience. movies like smurfs and judie moody appeal well to their kid audiences. does it make them good movies? no.
stuff like this talks down to kids. when I was a kid, i didnt play crap like this. i would make fun of this stuff when I was 5 years old. at that time I was playing contra, ninja gaiden, and super star wars. kids can handle real games.
I certainly wouldn't be letting my children play games like Contra at 5 years old. Unless you are a parent, you really can't say what children should and shouldn't do. However, these games are meant to be interactive, fun and educations, and for parent and children alike.
What's wrong with that?
Shallow in what was? No blood? No.As in "it's a kinect game so I already know how it's gonna turn out despite not playing it"While Sesame Street looks like it will be a quality game for children, let's not kid ourselves, the core gameplay mechanics are relatively shallow. But that's not the point of the game obviously and they're not meant for the traditional gamer.[QUOTE="AngryJuice"][QUOTE="White_Dreams"]They will be shallow kinect games what else is new.Lto_thaG

Pissed that I bought a system that has evolved into this type of garbage. Heil68
I don't mean to offend you, but are you sure you have a X360? You sound like one of those SW-posters that claim they have all systems so they seem unbiased, but are then betrayed by their unilateral console defense.

Seriously, if you're over 13 years old, then you shouldn't even be paying attention to the Sesame Street game :? I mean, it's obviously aimed at kids, and I see nothing wrong with that (would you rather have a parent buy their kids a copy of Gears of War then rekindle that Media Vs. Videogames war again?). DethSkematikWouldn't it be cool if Kinect had a SMG game? SMG isn't violent and could be stimulating for kids.
My response: Do not want.
Shallow as in made for toddlers.Bigboi500
You just summed up 99% of the Wii's library. :3
What the hell is your problem? Seriously all you are is an obvious Sony fanboy. Dance Central 2 is THE best dancing game I have played and is much more fun than I have ever had with "superior games" like Resistance and whatnot
cuz they have a wide demographic that purchase there products :S ?I don't care for dance central and i simply don't understand why microsoft showed off SS on E3.

Why are you getting so defensive because some people dont like kinect gamesWhat the hell is your problem? Seriously all you are is an obvious Sony fanboy. I can vouch for Heil when he says he has a 360. Also...do not want - but then I'm not the audience these games are going for, and I welcome diversity in a library so fine by me.[QUOTE="OB-47"]Why are you getting so defensive because some people dont like kinect gamesWhat the hell is your problem? Because he made a whole thread about it. Trust me, I've seen this guys others post. All he does is criticise any publication which gvies ps3 exclusives like resistance 3 average scores, despite it being not so great.
You probably wouldn't be saying that if they were PS3 exclusives[QUOTE="jasonharris48"]

My response is this

I, for one, would certainly pan them if they were PS3 exclusives. on the flip side, I guarantee there wouldnt be any these apologists for these games if they were PS3 exclusives.
LOL, cows are just laughable. Don't kid yourself son. The Playstation brand had/has been know to be geared towards casual market more then the Xbox brand. There had/have been tons of causal/kiddy/motion games on the Playstation consoles from PS1-PS3. I was wondering how many of these threads you had/have created since the launched of PS1 in 1999? The irony of fanboys...

Dang... PS1 launched in 1999? That musta been the shortest gen ever, since PS2 launched in 2000.[QUOTE="fend_oblivion"]
I'd love to play Sesame Street for three reasons. One, it's made by Schafer and crew. Two, it's Sesame Street. I grew up watching the show. Three, the game has received extremely positive responses.
It's good to relive childhood memories :)Funconsole
Four, you can be the COOKIE MONSTER!!!
