Just as a counterpoint to my other thread. What are your very favorite console games this gen? The ones you will remember for years to come. This can include whole series rather than filling your list up with games from the same franchise.

Mass effect is better on PC, and so is elder scrolls, batman, and dragons age. Kinda hard to call those "console games"

To make my list more interesting I only put in one game from a series, otherwise all the Assassins Creeds, Mass Effects, Gears of Wars etc would fill my list. There is no real order, except I'd say Halo 3 is probably my favourite and NIER close behind in second place. I haven't spent too long with Skyrim either but it seems excellent. Finally, I haven't played many of the other highly rated console games either and I don't regard Twilight Princess as a current gen game (I also haven't played it but it would surely make my list).

I intended my list to focus on somewhat older titles (save for Deus Ex) since I'm still deciding on my new games and what I think of them, particularly Dark Souls and Gears 3 + UC3.

I tried to order them, but its hard to really choose one over the other so number 1 may not even be number 1. Consider that these are all great games though. To make it fair, I'm only choosing one game for each perspective series, otherwise my list would be pure GTA, Souls games and Uncharted.

I also want to appreciate Gears for what it did for shooters, but it didn't mke the cut sadly.
