It's crazy how many Star Wars games I used to be into like Dark Forces, JK: Mysteries of the Sith, Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy, TIE Fighter, Rebel Assault II, Rogue Sqauadron 1-3, Episode I: Racer, etc. Now, I honestly don't give a crap over any of these present era games.
Ooof, tough call. So many good ones.
Ummm off the top of my head, gotta say:
Honestly if you ask me again, I'd probably list different games lol. Dark Forces is up there.
- Jedi Fallen Order
- Knights of the Old Republic
- Knights of the Old Republic II
I also really enjoy the LEGO games
The only Star Wars game that i played and loved was Kotor2. Played Kotor1 over ten years after it came out, and it was simply too outdated to enjoy.
Battlefront 2 _ Original game not the EA game
Rogue Squadron 2: Rogue Leader
KotoR
Honorable Mention:
Episode 1 Racer and X-Wing vs Tie Fighter
The only Star Wars game I have played that I consider good is Jedi: Fallen Order. The rest is mediocre at best.
KOTOR 2
Dark Forces 2
Shadows of the Empire
The fact that we're seeing Jedi Fallen Order mentioned so many times means we haven't had a good SW game in a looooooooooong time. Game was a solid B- at best.
Not really my favorite, but I want to mention Squadrons since no one else has. It plays really well, more sim than the Battlefront space battles, more arcade than the old X-Wing games. It hits a sweet spot for me. Not much content, but it was a budget release and what's there is great. Plus it doesn't chase live service trends like I expected it to when announced. You buy it, and unlock a few things through gameplay. Just like old times.
As for my list; X-Wing, Battlefront 2 (the first), Jedi Academy.
1. Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader.
2. Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast and Academy
3. Kotor I
Honorable: Jedi Fallen Order, Lego Skywalker Saga, Empire at War, Rogue Squadron I, Jedi Starfighter, Kotor II (it's warming up), Battlefront II 2005, Dark Forces.
I'm almost surprised how much Force Unleashed was mentioned. Keyword "almost"...
Most of the ones I once loved are things of the past not sure I feel like cheering for them anymore as I probably wouldn't want to revisit them.
1. Jedi Academy.
2. Rogue Leader.
3. Episode 1 Racer.
There's loads I like, many I'm fascinated by such as Shadows of The Empire. But they're usually quite flawed.
1. Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace
2. Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith
3. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
1.) Jedi Academy
2.) Star Wars Rebellion
3.) Star Wars: Battlefront II
Academy still has the best lightsaber duel system around and even to this day still has an active online community that has taken this game and made it their own. The single player campaign is also a lot of fun with a branching story and one ending is perfectly setup for a sequel we'll sadly never get.
Rebellion is a great strategy game that has you either running the Rebellion or the Empire in game of wits where you are trying to out maneuver the other side, recruit important people to your side, claim star systems, hold resources, and prepare for the coming conflict. One of the best spy games I've played.
The original Battlefront II still reigns supreme with the superior design that has vehicles actually on the field, gives you space battles where you can land on capital ships to take the fight inside, classes that actually matter, and didn't require a broken launch with microtransactions nor supporting EA to get there. Another one that is still active to this day and worth every penny to get into.
