For me it's Dante's Inferno with Alpha Protocol coming in close second. Distant third would be FFXIII (that's a reference to Edgard Figaro)DarkStraberryI honestly didn't find Dante's Inferno all that bad. Sure it was an uninspired God of War rip-off, but the mechanics seemed to work just fine, the level design seemed adequit, and the bosses were okay if not forgettable.
Some people here get it really lucky, if stuff like Bayonetta, Reach, Far Cry 2, Goldeneye, Mass Effect are the worst stuff you've played this gen. I played Need for Speed Pro Street, that was truly atrocious.TheOtherTheoGI think I'd rather play that than Goldeneye ever again. Not since The Sum Of All Fears on the Gamecube has a first person shooter been so offensively bad for me.

I have my doubts that it was as bad as Goldeneye though. :P
Black Ops-- unpolished, overhyped, poor graphics, poor framrates, poor level design, poor spawning system.
Heavenly Sword for games I own. I almost threw the controller at the screen when you had to controll the projectiles with the sixaxis. Maybe that should be a mechanic next time, throw your controller at the screen and it will replicate it 1-1 in game and hit the enemy or something stupid as that... chaplainDMKNot sure if you know...or even care to know, lol....but u can turn off the six axis controls, and use the control sticks to control the projectiles

MGS4 - I believed the hype, and lets face it, after MGS3 who wouldnt?
Dissapointment!
-Snooze-
Not my worst gaming experience, but I agree... what a disappointment.
It left the jungle setting, the stamina meter, the manual camo, it just wasn't interesting, the game (and cutscenes especially) dragged out, and the story made no sense and was really boring.
Medal of Honor campaign was wretched. It was probably the most contrived, uninspired cash-in I've ever seen.enterawesomeDude are you really telling me there isn't a worse game out there you've played? Medol of Honor wasn't that bad. It just wasn't that inspired.
[QUOTE="Mr_Ditters"]Framerate is the only thing the CoD series does right.Black Ops-- poor framrates.

Well they screwed it up on Black ops (PS3). Huge framrate drops. Its pathetic considering how poor the graphics are.

When I first started it the camo system really, really dissapointed me. Then the linear levels.

It just wasn't that inspired. No, Medal of Honor is the worst game I played this gen. The controls, level design, graphics, story, everything was uninspired and incredibly half-assed. There is not an ounce of imagination in that game. It was a game that a bunch of suits at EA decided should be made because CoD was popular and they wanted in. It shares nothing in common with other Medal of Honor games either, which is even more gross. Like they just threw on some recognizeable name onto an entirely unrelated game. It was all buisness, that game. Disgusting.
Mass Effect. I did not think it would be that bad.Mr_Cumberdaleas bad as I thought mass effect was, I still think me2 is a lot worse, i have to add ff13, bayonetta, Residence evil 5, gta 4 and some parts of red dead redemption were horrible
Dead Rising 2. Not because it was a horrible game, but because in coop it's save system is so incredibly busted that I lost 10 hours of gameplay due to the game locking up and forcing me to restart. Since the save system STUPIDLY boots you out of a game after you save in coop EVERY TIME and the loading times were are just asinine, my friend and decided to forego saving as much as we could because every time you saved the game it just killed any momentum you had.. Now of course I should have saved, but it would have been great if the game had a competent save system in the first place. And it's still the same way in Case West.

I wasint. Hell MGS4 to me is the second best MGS with MGS1 holding first.

I found it way more enjoyable compared to the black ops and MW2 SP.
as bad as I thought mass effect was, I still think me2 is a lot worseda_illest101
This seems weird to me.
1. You purchased ME2 when you didn't like the original
2. You put one of the best games of 2010 at the top of your "worst gaming experience this gen" list (yeah, yeah, opinions, blah blah)
Disappointment wise?
Fable 3. LOVED the 2nd, don't know why, it just had this charmful air about its atmosphere that made me want to do everything within its world. The third took everything great about its predecessor and stripped it, yet its praised by most as a great successor when there's sooo much less to do and the combat is sooo boring.
Mass Effect 2. Same story as with Fable. Took everything great about the first and stripped it. People say the shooting was made better I strongly disagree on even that. This is not an RPG, its a shooting game where you make a few choices. The customization is GONE.
Red Dead Redemption. Flat out boring, and I loved GTAIV.
Overall worst?
Sonic the Hedgehog
overall game experience? Iron Man demo. That...ugh. Full game, Madden 07. Trust me, these new Maddens spoil you compared to that.
Moment in a game I actually liked? Probably the time in Tekken 6's (terrible) Scenario Campaign mode when Jin did a combo that reduced my nearly full life meter to nothing when he was almost dead.
far cry 2, i knew there were bad games in the world, but i do not have words to describe how bad FC2 was... it was an abomination,

they didnt...I have black ops for the PS3 and I've never had a single framedrop...nor my cousins and all my friends who have the game for PS3...Dead Rising 2. Really? When I played together with my friend (PC version), both of us could save without any of us getting booted out of the game. We had no problems saving at all.
I usually do research before I buy a game, & worst sounds pretty harsh. Anyway, Darksiders was probably the most disappointing release for me. I was hyped but it was sort of a letdown. It wasn't a bad game by any means though.
Probably Halo games, Halo 3 specifically if I have to choose. Reach was good but neither me or any of my friends even bring it up in a conversion any more let alone plays on it so as far as gaming experience goes. I haven't had the misfortune to have any lengthy gaming experiences i hated, but halo 3 was the least eventful, sustained experience, odst was good from an artstyle perspective but fell distinctly short of what it could have been.
I played Halo 3 just after it released when all my friends were playing it and I didn't see what everybody else did. I just didn't get it.
"Worst" in my case just means least enjoyable because I haven't really bought any games this gen I disliked.

I was playing on the 360. I understand the loading times on the PC are non issue and it's good to know that stupid ass save system isn't replicated there.Star Ocean: The Last Hope
I have nightmares about that game.

Don't we all? I don't know what Tri-Ace were smoking when they were making the cast. IMO, SO4 has the worst characters in a JRPG. The biggest offenders in this game are Lymle and Edge. Though, I'll give Edge a little bit of credit since he made me laugh with his weird hand gestures, but that was mostly because of the game's mediocre character animations.
Spoiler: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhT08Oa_zmI 6:45 and forward is good example on how awful this game is: a terrible attempt of a dramatic cutscene. "Edgie, stop. Please stop, kay?" The hand movement that made me laugh is at 9:02 :)
Story, characters, dialogue, voice acting - all horrible. Gameplay was okay, but I couldn't put up with the other stuff.

Some of the voices in this game rival that wii game arc something.
