   It was likely compared to other games for the wii. Considering it was developed and released for the gamecube, the graphics really are quite impressive.

Even though it is a beautiful game, it shows nothing of the Wii's potential. Sad to see one of the best looking Wii games is a GC port. I wish more devs were like Factor 5.

Based on it using the Wii's potential, I give it a 8.

Its flaws were aliasing problems and low-res textures, its strengths were everything else about how the game looked.

My friend, who has a PS3, said that TP looked great (the graphics).  I told him that they were Gamecube graphics and his mouth droppped.

Let me fix my post. I got that damn 'forbidden' crap. I stated that the game might have a great art style, but at times the graphics are absolutely mediocre and undeserving of a 9. I admit it looks better in motion, I watched my friend play that fire dungeon. Looks nice, but not 9 worthy.

Not to mention those are probably the most aesthetically boring areas in the game. Cap some Zora's Domain, Snowpeak Ruins or Gerudo Desert.

The music was too midi for the reviewer's tastes.

And I would assume that everyone would agree that pre-recorded orchestral music is much better then on-the-fly midi music.

The good thing is that in the next zelda, they will use the entire disk space, allowing nice music and no midi.

God I hate that. The MIDI sound of the actual game and the cruddy sound coming out of the Wiimote pissed me off.

The "midi" style music as you call it added a great deal of surreality to the twilight realm, and orchestrated music in those parts of the game would have diminished that.

EDIT: Stupid gs

You can pre-render midi music too. Overall it would add much greater sound if you used all pre-rendered.

I 100% agree. The music in the Twilight Realm baffled me at first... then all the sounds, weird creatures [and their unusual sounds] came together into something that I had never heard before. I love the TR artsyle as well.

graphics are not just about polygon count and resolution. for most 360 and PS3 owners this is the truth: More polygons and More realistic= better. There's no ART in realism though. just uninspired copying

The points given for graphics are also depending on the consoles.

what is more important the composition or the instrument ill take the composition over the instrument any day why..? because even if you have a whole ochestra, a crap tune remains a crap tune

Let's give this a shot again. I deleted my last posts because of the damn 'forbidden' glitch. Someone said somting about realistic graphics being bad for art style? There's no art in mediocrity. Superb graphics will only improve an already superb art style. Poor graphics will hinder good art style. I also said somthing about despite the art style, on the technical side the graphics are poor.

EDIT: This is what I'd call good art. On the technical side things look good, and that ice dog thing looks awesosme.

I really don't get where people are getting this myth that TP is a horrible game technically speaking. In my opinion its one of the best looking games of last gen. Unless of course you're talking about Wii standards, because if so, I would definitely agree with you.

wow.. you dont have played the wii or you have a completely biased opinion.. wth are you talking about zelda isnt intense.. and its not sounding ping or swish.. it has various sounds (like the tune you hear when you solve a puzzle)

its just like rumble force feedback.. of course you can argue that it doesnt add to the gameplay.. but it definately adds to the overall experience

I have played the Wii and Zelda actually. Zelda isn't intense. I don't mean that in a bad way. Wouldn't you rather hear that nice tune coming out of some awesome speakers or somthing instead of a mediocre DS speaker? And rumble is dope, nothing like some crazy rumble while you go Tony Montana on some noobs with an M16 or AK47.

The graphics were pretty good for a GC game, but not the best... Personally, i hated the game. I actually just sold it back to EBGames

elite beat agents & ouendan has completely **** graphics.. but its artstyle is amazing.. it is using a crude 3D engine and still is one of the best looking games i played last year.. nothing is driven only by technology in terms of power and functionality.. human user interface and design as well as presentation are equally important..
