[QUOTE="StealthSting"][QUOTE="TheCrimsonKoopa"]Let's give this a shot again. I deleted my last posts because of the damn 'forbidden' glitch. Someone said somting about realistic graphics being bad for art style? There's no art in mediocrity. Superb graphics will only improve an already superb art style. Poor graphics will hinder good art style. I also said somthing about despite the art style, on the technical side the graphics are poor.

EDIT: This is what I'd call good art. On the technical side things look good, and that ice dog thing looks awesosme.

TheCrimsonKoopa
You gotta be kidding me. TP totally destroys DMC 3 in terms of graphics.

I've played both games, I don't see what your talking about? DMC3 looks amazing.

I own both games and as much as i love DMC3 it doesn't come close to TP, but that said nothin ever can beat the coolness of Dante in the first Cutscene, that equals totally awesome lol.

Well it looks good but in my opinion not amazing.......... TP in my opinion trumps it in Art style, character animation and character design, draw distance and I really could be here all day. Not to mention that DMC is a fixed camera game..... They are really difficult to compare. IMO I actually preffer other games when it comes to graphical quality on PS2.

[QUOTE="farnham"]what is more important the composition or the instrument ill take the composition over the instrument any day why..? because even if you have a whole ochestra, a crap tune remains a crap tuneflamingschmoes2

But Beethoven's 5th Symphony played with Fisher Price plastic toys will destroy the power and emotion of that composition. Once again, you need both. The gameplay and the graphics to get the fullest effect that the human being can enjoy and appreciate.

still much better then a ochestra that plays like crap

and you know that mozart did some of his early compositions on his toy instruments (not fisher price toys of course)

Hey, your opinion man. I really don't see what your talking about, DMC looks every bit as good as TP IMO. Yeah, first cutscene is dope, like to see Link fail at trying to be that badass.

As much as I love DMC he was simply to much of an idiot on DMC 3. It was so god like awfull cheesy some times. Although yes the cinematics were of very very good quality.

[QUOTE="TheCrimsonKoopa"][QUOTE="farnham"]and the wiimote speaker argument is plain stupid if anything its a hardware flaw not a game flaw.. plus the wiimote speaker adds much to the intensity of the game.. everyone i showed the wii to loved the idea.. it seems to be a jeff gerstmann only problem..farnham

Well, hardware or not it's stupid and it doesn't add to the game in any way. I don't see how the occassional poor sounding 'ping' or 'swish' adds anything to the game. Besides, Zelda isn't a very intense game. If you want intensity play Call of Duty or somthing on the 360 or PS3.

wow.. you dont have played the wii or you have a completely biased opinion.. wth are you talking about zelda isnt intense.. and its not sounding ping or swish.. it has various sounds (like the tune you hear when you solve a puzzle)

its just like rumble force feedback.. of course you can argue that it doesnt add to the gameplay.. but it definately adds to the overall experience

the sword slashing effects that come out of the wii mote is the sh!ttest ive ever heard since the ps1

Yeah i will always be more of a fan of the 1st one that the rest, except after 2, 3 was like a god in my mind which is the main reason why i love it so much.

I'm getting a PS3 first I think, get the expensive one out of the way. Getting a 360 further down the road.

I gotta agree. While I feel that TP had an over all better art style...DMC's art stlye wasn't to bad neither. The boss designs were really nice. Esepecially Nevan, Agni & Rudra, and Cerberus

God Dam Agni and Rudra have to be the most annoying bosses in that entire game, and yes the boss designs are pretty awesome in DMC3, but TP has some of the best boss designs to date, but i wish they where a little harder.

Although they were very easy the actual puzzle part of the gameplay was on the harder side, which sorta made up for that, but regardless of that fact it is still one of my all time favorite games, even though atm CS:S takes up most of my gaming time. Thats the good thing about not being a fanboy its hard to have any droughts when u have so many games to choose from, i mean i have had CS:S for so long now and u can always come back to that game, nothing can beat it for replay value. But even with that said i usually still play my wii for at least an hour every day.

Don't get me wrong I loved TP. But concerning the lack of difficulty in alot of games, its just something I got used to along time ago.

It did because of the art style :| It's not just about polygons and textures.
