TP was a AAA gangbuster title all the way, fakeboys love to put posts about "TEH 8.8" and how the game wasnt deep etc etc but the truth is 90% of them have never even played it. People just read some crap review from gamerdad.com and come here and try and talk about a game like they have played it.

I think we look as Zelda as a different game that has higher standards than other games do.

You can have a game like Kameo which got an 8.7 on the 360. Its a great game, but Zelda is literally over twice the size and scope of that game. Kameo is great... don't get me wrong, but Zelda offers so much more...its not even realistic to compare the two.

Now, lets look at shadow of the colossus. It also got an 8.7, and is also one of the coolest games I have ever played. But when you look at the total content of that game... its very linear. There is is giant insane world to explore, but nothing to do in it. I know that its a stylized choice, and a good one at that, but when your looking for extended play, there is not much else that game offers...cept the lizard tails....

Zelda: TP got an 8.8. It does absolutely everything. Huge bosses, sprawling over world, mini-games, fishing, fortune telling, snow boarding, sumo wrestling, insane dungeons, tricky puzzles, lots of collectibles, horse back riding, full scaled swimming, and so much more, its so insane. When I think about all that I did in Zelda:TP and think about how I was literally never bored inside the game universe, and there was so much to do... and it deserves better than an 8.8. Zelda TP does not shy away from anything.

TBH i believed some of TPs boss fights not only were as good as SOTC's bosses, but a bit better as well, but that's just me.

maybe... imo, shadow had amazing battles... but they were kinda easy once you figured out what to do... actually that was the same for both shadow and TP. Shadow's are more epic, but I think TP's are more 3 Dimensional when it comes to what to do in certain situations. All the colossus's did was shake...XD

I really do not trust reviews at gamespot when it comes to Wii.. If you have noticed they have consistently gave every wii game quite a deal lower score then EVERY other reviewer out there.  They constantly complain about the controls, yet eveyr other site I have seen has loved them sense day one.. Infact the only complaint I have heard from reviewers is the controlers being SO good that it makes the game too easy.

the fact that Warioware got a higher score than TP is enough for me to not take GS's reviews seriously anymore. I'll go to IGN for reviews...and use GS for it's forums.

MGS 3 less than 9.0

I would argue it's the best single player game of this whole new generation.  On www.gamerankings.com (this site takes averages of alot of websites, mags reviews) Zelda: Tp is #2 overall right behind the recently released God of War 2.  Even above the godly gears of war (which I love to death).

It's an engrossing expierence that follows a proven formula but adds elements that are new to an already great franchise.  You know when playing Zelda you are going to get, Z-targetting, dugenons, clever puzzles, item upgrades, and heart pieces.  The formula is not hard to figure out but the game always seem to be new somehow.  Given it takes alot from Oot that is not a bad thing.

Give it a shot before judging because it is one hell of a game.

I agree, I loved Twilight Princess a ton. Just imagine, what would've happened if Gears scored this low, what happens if the possible Halo 3 scores this low, hey, if Wario Ware got AAA and Zelda got AA here, you can NEVER tell if a game is gonna get AAA by its title anymore.

yep, but yet, Halo 2 scored AAA here, even when tons of people crying out loud the ending sucks etc... their scoring system is not consistant if you ask me.

Doesn't Metroid Prime beat out both games?

Honestly, I just started playing Ocarina of Time again, and I would say there is actually some quality of the game that makes OoT seem extremely dated. I still think Ocarina of Time is the best game created, but TP, despite all it flaws such as limited weapons to used, a flawed reward system, linear side quest that offer up to nothing of what OoT offered (Biggoron Sword, Ice arrows, Golden Zora scale, etc), lack of dungeon depth (Ocarina is a smaller game, yet it's dungeons seem more bigger in scale compared to TP's), not all the races are featured in this game(where is the Gerudos, Kokiri?), and no magic what so ever is still a decent game. But TP has a better storyline, a beyond and away better battle system (No more stopping to use weapons in this game finally), bigger hyrule, beautiful graphics, and more harder enemies this time around. Overall, TP is a better game than OoT, but OoT just has more things in it that makes it stand over TP........

Honestly, if I had a Million dollars, I would gladly pay Nintendo to remake Ocarina of Time with TP's graphics and battle system, along with a few more extra content in the game......
