I'm surprised he made it 5 hours in, The first 10-15 hours are very repetitive and boring at times but after that it does get alot better

Even if he only played 5 hours of it. It would make no difference if he played the next 25 hours of it. The majority of the game is like what he described.

I said the same thing when I seen Lightning and Sazh come in on the train in the beginning, and then Lightning says shes ex military..

I was like "are they even trying to come up with original plot anymore?"

He found what nearly every other reviewer found...its not a good game and is the lowest point in the Final Fantasy Franchise *except 7 which for me is the black hole lowest point of the Franchise, I literally don't enjoy the past games before FF7 because ff7 is so bad it literally sucks their greatness down with it*

I agree actually. If it takes that long for it to become fun then that isn't good for the game. I got 7 hours in and I couldn't go on. Only in very short bursts, like save point to save point.

I took it as a self-conscious homage, but they certainly walk a fine line with it. Also...

They did the same thing with the ending... Cocoon falling to Pulse as a meteorite resembling the logo of the game.

I'm surprised he still hasn't done GoW3. Imo not one of the funnier reviews, and I can't disagree more about the combat. I've had a blast with it, and you need to know what you're doing or the end game encounters will wreck you.WithoutGraceXII

Even though I liked the game after palying 4 hours of it, I thiought it was hilarious.

That´s an accurate description of my experience with the game.

Although I disagree with most of his statement I always found his reviews entertaining and sometimes funny.

The "I'm unbiased" comment made me laugh. Once again, another review sure to set off fanboys who think reviewing is some sort of objective, factual medium.

lolol.. Completely agree. I hate FF13.. its just SOO BORING. And I love JRPGs, but really all im doing is walking on floating platforms in the sky fighting battle after battle after battle, watch cutscene after cutscene of stuff I just dont care about. There is ZERO variety in the game at all.

Oh boy Yahtzee reviewing a JRPG, this will be gold.

But hell I'm actually surprised as hell he actually likes FFVI.

I'm curious on how you came to this conclusion. Final Fantasy has always been a distictly Japanese series, so I don't understand how becoming "very Japanse," has made the franchise casual or worse when it has awlays been, "very Japanese."

Couldn't watch more than two minutes. Horrible.

The funny part is when he said you need to get around 20 hours into it for it to become good. I have heard that a few times from review sites. If you play a game that long and it is not fun then it is not a good game at all.SilentlyMad
