[QUOTE="FrozenLiquid"] It's satire. Satire is usually biting humour that comes from exposing flaws of particular places, people, objects whatever. Similar to the Simpsons, where you laugh at its stupidity, but admit its uncanny resemblance to the reality of the situation.FrozenLiquid
I don't watch the Simpsons though because I find it also boring, not a great example heheh but I get what you mean.
Still my point is very valid, I see people taking his reviews very serious, I facepalm at the thought of a person taking my joke seriously, it's meant to be a joke there is no point to debate whether it's true or not.
I mean if I see a fat person and say he looks like a farting whale, picture a person approaching me, lets say my friend comes to me and say "hey bro I really think he looks like a whale and a farting one too you are very right, you are a very intelligent human being, how did you figure that out?"
Two things you've done wrong:
1) You don't like the Simpsons. You lose humanity points. If you like Family Guy, you do a 5x multiplier humanity loss.
2) Your point is still invalid, because you fail to understand what satire is. It is humour embedded heavily in reality. So while satire is funny and sometimes overwrought, it is also an honest, if usually cynical, observation.
I don't think satire is your type of thing, though. If you don't like the Simpsons, and don't understand Yahtzee, and gave an example which isn't satirical, then yeah...
Don't worry. Satire isn't essential to being a fine human being.
The Simpsons is though!
what if I don't watch family guy too? how many humanity points Im going to lose O_o
I do watch both randomly sometimes and I find humor in them, I find some funny stuff in the zero puncuation too like the racist s*** in the start of the U3 review.
maybe yes it's true, maybe satire is not my cup of tea which sucks, I do like lots of other stuff like cleaning the floor of my room, it's a quality and f***** up thing to be a janitor no offense to janitors around the world.
