Cmon think about it they didn't launch at the same time 360 had a 1 year headstart. and Wii caught up to it and surpassed them in9 MONTHS !!!! ... i mean all of a sudden Wii's are going to stop selling and 360 flying off shelves? i dont think so

Let me first say congrats to Wii only owners. Although this is VG charts and imo i don't trust that site as well as nexgenwars. Unfortunately my Wii is collecting dust cause there are no games that appeal to me. Next week that will change though. The wii needs more good games. Today is a WONDERFUL day. A glorious day, and perhaps one of the most important days of this gen.

VG chartz doesn't have the exact numbers, but they are close. You can use any site you want and personally I go by vg chartz in between NDP numbers. And even if the Wii hasn't actually outsold the 360 yet, it will soon. Very soon. And since we can never know the exact numbers, why not go by vgchartz?

The ps3 which has less then half the installed base in the US that the Wii does still sold 4 times as many copies of Madden 2k8. The people who buy Wii's dont buy games or only buy Nintendo made games. They are still gonna get lame 3d party support or just shovelware.

So what? People may be buying Wiis, but nobody is buying games for the Wii. Just look at the Madden sales numbers. Terrible. There are more Wiis out there than 360s, but the 360 outsells the Wii 12-to-1??? Call of Duty 3 on the 360 outsold the same game on the Wii 10-to-1.

Once developers wake-up and realize that nobody is buying games for the Wii, they will all go back and rethink their strategies (once again) regarding games development and where to put their resources/manpower.

The Wii may have a higher attach rate than the PS3 (I doubt this, but I am agreeing with you for now), but they both aren't half of what the 360 is. Its attach rate is above 6 per console - almost an unheard of number for a console.
