I finished it a while ago - and yes, it's a great game (although I could have done without the friggin' jumping puzzles in Hades and the end boss was the most frustrating experience I've had in a long time). But overall it's an amazing achievement. I would say it's a great last hurrah for the PS2 except that God of War 2 has already been annouced for it. ;^)
Yeah, I really liked it. But, man, I had one hard time on the "Trial of the Gods" extra (that's what it's called, right? The one with, like, ten trials). I suppose I'll overlook that fact that, as good as the game is, their portrail of the gods was far from accurate (personality-wise). Because it's such a cool game! :D
I really liked it. The graphics were great, the storyline amazing, the voice acting superb, the gameplay was very responsive. All in all, a very tight, polished game.
I am a HUGE fan of God of War. Since this topic was started and last posted to, God of War I was converted and re-released for the PS3, God of War II & III has been released and are old hat now. Since the game has no multiplayer application, it is not one that maintained a long running diatribe by its fans, so it is not a huge board attraction as to forum speak.
BUT,,,, yes BUT.....
God of War IV (assuming title) is in the works and WILL have multiplayer application and/or Co-Op capabilities. The unfortunate part of this great news is the wait, as it is not expected for release until the 3rd or 4th quarter of 2012.
It is great game series and I have used it so much in the application of coming home from a frustrating day at work and taking my pent up aggressions out on some unsuspecting monster with the vision of those who supplied the frustration pasted on their ugly mugs..... he he he.
