They're generic and can be used by everyone. You'd have no sense of individuality since there's always the chance of meeting someone using the same avatar you are.

I more often see users using their own avatar than one of those pre-made ones though. I do like a few of those pre-made avatars and may use one of them someday.

That's something I never understood either. A 7.5 is not a bad score at all. Some people just get upset that their favorite games don't get 9's or 10's. I wouldn't care if a game got lower than a 6, just as long as I enjoy it.

Its b/c the damn fool gave a ten to a freaking skate boarding game... Ah, noticing Tom McShea giving ridiculously high scores to mediocre games and only giving Skyward Sword a 7.5 makes being butthurt over it more understandable.
