In my experience, I have to actually be "reading" a post that I had never read before in order for it to go up.
Example: Going to the last page of the ot thread right now would give me 88,498 tmr. However, going to say page 4000 (20 ppp) wouldn't give any at all.

Found it! I guess I do a lot of reading here and click on a lot of threads with high amounts of posts in them, cuz I'm sure my post count is higher and beat some users around here. :D My TMR is now at a grand total of 167,984,296 and counting.
