Many of you weren't around back then, but at one time gamespot used to create every year an awards show for all the unions on Gamespot, in order to recognize outstanding unions. Sadly, the last one was in 2007 and since then there hasn't been a new one.

I think it's time we bring this back, and show the community that unions are still doing fine today! This will be a challenge, but I feel that the SCU is big enough to where we could successfully host this event, and do as well of a job as the ones in the past. My question to everyone here is, do you support this idea? We will have to spread word of this like wildfire since we won't have the support of the mods and staff in creating this like in past years, but it is definitely possible to make this known throughout gamespot. I'm gonna need a dedicated team of people to be willing to sign up to help with this. Of course before that happens I want the gamespot community to know about this because I want some people outside this union to be involved so people know that this is not biased just cause it is hosted here.

You could also just blog about it lol. :P I'm gonna see if it's possible to find a designer who is willing to quickly create a simple userbar so people can wear it.

Oh lol, that works. :P I just created a blog using the template, in the past there was talk about why it never happened again, although its never been hosted in a union before with regular people doing the majority of the work. It's a challenge.

There's a template that you could blog and tell your friends if you want to help spread word about it so more people will know about this. Right now we gotta spread word about it and get some hype so people will be excited to be doing this again, a lot of users weren't even around the last time that they did one of these.

We're planning on bringing them back ourselves tmac. ;) No one has done them in several years, so we've decided we're gonna bring it back this year. As for nominees, hopefully we manage to get enough votes to be a nominee for the voting round.

You probably won't get in trouble I think. I doubt you'll get a response though since they're probably busy.
