This I completely 100% positively absolutely agree to the Nth degree with.

I agree wholeheartedly with everyone that there is undeniable hardcore fan appeal to the JP release version, but hardcore fans are also willing to potentially take the steps needed to import the JP version anyway. Though our wonderful union is certainly home to a number of people who would be thrilled by the JP release I think that in terms of sales numbers there aren't a lot of people in NA who will really buy the JP version. The one thing that I will say though, is that since we are talking about DLC rather than a physical media release the overhead cost for the release is much smaller, so if they want to throw the really faithful fans a bone they can without too much risk of taking a financial hit on the venture. If they are really in it for the money though we may very well see an English NA release (I think the Hudson rebranding is pretty suspicious too).

As for Hudson, yeah, if I'm not mistaken they became a subsidiary of Konami a few years ago (2003-2005ish range I think).

maybe.. I do not know about financial as to develope a game/translate a game.. so i can not say if it would pricey or no. I do know that it would sell.. but maybe no as much more as just the original so that is pry why they do not see a reason. But hey maybe they`ll port the psp version to VC/WiiWare.. do not about rights....

but lets put it this way... Lard: would you get the original? if your answer is yes, then think about all the others fans than like you would prefer the translated one, but would get this one anyway...

Honestly though, I don't think the game being in Japanese would stop anyone (anyone) from enjoying it. Didn't Sin and Punishment sell pretty well, even though it was in Japanese?

A vey valid point, I had forgotten about how relatively well that did.

I also agree that the story is of more relevance in CV though (but as pointed out the script is available).

In any case, we will all be waiting with bated breath for this release.

Some really good points are being made, I wonder what would happen if they release this game than a few months later or a year later they decide to release the PSP version as a Wiiware Title call Castlevania: Rondo of Blood Rebirth or Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles Rebirth.Serbine

a very good point... but then again... the story in old-school CV have never being too strong.. is just kill the bad guy, thus in RoB there are some minors details, specially on the "side quest" that make the game more needed for understanding...

 I'm so glad to hear that I can finally play Rondo on my tv...  And I honestly don't mind it being in Japanese since that's the way I've always played it on my *ahem* em^!@#or.

This page confirms that it will cost 800 Wii Points. Also, here are some screens from the JP version. Whcih will be what we are getting.... Enjoy! :D

yea... that game was release OVER 2 years ago in JP... now they just have to bring it to FREAKING NA!!!! Even thus the game has being ESRB and OS.. (rating in AU) there is no sign of it actually coming here any time soon

I just looked at the VC coming soon page, and it says nothing about being released in Europe.... It also says it will be worth 900 pts.

THIS GAME IS CRAZY GOOD!!!!!

I've heard that this was a really really good game, one of the best CV and people weren't exaggerating after all! :lol: And I must say I'm VERY VERY impressed by the quality of the music, I already decided that this game's "Vampire Killer" is my favorite of all the versions. Also, ha ha ha, I was also impressed by this:

Did you see the size of that ROAST?! This is at the room before the Minotaur boss fight, when I saw this I thought "I'm saved!" and then... I thought it well and concluded "I'm screwed at the boss fight if I'm gonna need this much roast"... and I was right :cry:

Yes, I agree this game is G-R-E-A-T!!!! And man, that is one big effin' roast.....Richter has got one hell of an appetite! :lol:

I can't imagine what kind of animal that roast could be made from... aside from the minotaur itself hahaha.
