Remixes of classic Castlevania music

I love some of the songs I have come across in Castlevania. Not just because they are masterfully crafted but because they emote feelings I experienced while playing the game and first experienceing any particular song. There are quite a few Castlevania based remixes out there and I have a ton of them on my Ipod. Of course there are remixes of other games too (if interested I would suggest checking out ocremix.org) that I love but I'll just post the links to 2 great sites with an awesome array of Castlevania only tracks. I like Goat's stuff in particular. Awesome.

I love Castlevania's music as well. Michiru Yamane and the Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night is one of my favorite soundtracks. I can still hear the music from Castlevania (NES) in my head:)Koi-Neon-X

I thought this was posted before (not saying I saw it posted, just thought that this was known)... aaaaanyway thanks for bringing this up wonzan!!!!! :D  I've had goat's music for quite some time now and yeah, it is AWESOME, my fav CV remixes are from him, specially the one called Scourge of 1691 (a remix of the whole CV1 soundtrack)

anyway, you gotta hear this, it's a remix of Clockwork from CVIII by housethegrate.  I have the mp3 to his studio(?) recording, it's been quite some time since I got it so I cannot find it on the web to link the download BUT if anybody wants it lemme know and we'll work something out.

wonzan's first link is something that vgmix.com does monthly (I think they are still monthly... haven't checked it for a while) called Dwelling of Duels, where basically artists submit their musical remixes according to a theme. I could have sworn there was a Konami month, I'll check later :)

btw, some good mixes there, I particularly like the one that ended up in 3rd place (by Rize) so check it out.

I also love the work by housethegrate. My absolute favourite video game music remixer would be his younger brother, Ashane. Ashane hasn't done any Castlevanias remixes though, which is a shame.=[. 

My friend introduced me to the world of game music remixing when I first fell in love with a tune from Chrono Trigger and conveyed that to him. There really is a great deal of awesome stuff out there if you look hard enough!Its nice to know that you are into this kind of music too. Other than me and the friend that introduced me to VG music I don't know anyone that listens to this gold!

I don't like Ocremix, most of them just don't give the right atmosphere, mostly techno stuff.

So I was in my collection looking for something good and I remembered this AWESOME album: Perfect Selection Dracula ~New Cla$$ic~ by Nazo2 Project (who/whatever that is). It contains 10 tracks, 2 of them medleys, and it is entirely cla$$ical music, and it sounds great.

Other album I found in my collection is this 2 part album: Dracula Battle Perfect Selection I,Dracula Battle Perfect Selection II, both by Naoto Shibata (I think...:P). These are rock-oriented, have some great guitar work and yeah, for some strange reason, there is a remix of Beginning on each album... and they are different :lol:
