The Music of Castlevania

I apologise if a thread of this has already been made, i looked but i couldn't find one;

What is your favourite song from ANY Castlevania song (Be sure to state which castlevania)

Give reasons for your choice if you can

You can also say which Castlevania has the best soundtrack in your opinion

For me personally my current favourite song is Gaze up at the Darkness from portrait of ruin (Masters Keep area)

It just has that beat that gets you so revved up for the battle that is to come

Game with the best soundtrack i feel is Lament of Innocence, ghostly theater sums up Castlevania very well I feel

If there is a thread about this, it's probably long dead and buried amongst all of the subsequent ones. I'll leave it open for now.

My favorite has to be Bloody Tears. I feel it evokes the...feel, of the series better than any other piece to date.

... I have many, and which one I feel like listening depends on my mood. But one that tend to win over all is Wood Carving Partita, SotN.

as for best soundtrack... I love the clasic collection. But the one of LoI is just amazing and in a really close place would be SotN... they change places depending on my mood I guess... 

The music topic is from the age of the old gang and I never even kept it on the old menu (linked on the new one)... so no appologies needed :)

Menu 2 - from Castlevania Judgement. So sexy....

Wandering the Crystal Blue - from Castlevania OoE. The arranged version sounds waaaaaay better than the original. This one really conveys the feeling that you're at the bottom of the ocean. 

Yes it is hard to choose one, I've been very impressed with the music from the later games on the DS, they just seem to keep getting better.

And why i didn't mention tragic prince i don't know, its a joint fave of mine, such an adrenaline rush

also pagoda of the misty moon, just sums up the entire LOI if I'm honest

As for my favorite soundtrack, that would be SotN. Not only is is my favorite Castlevania sountrack , it's my favorite video game soundtrack.

@dejiko: yeap.. rock version of bloody tears is defenetely one of the best version of taht song/.... the electric guitar is just priceless... I want to see the videogame concert just to be able to see that....

I really like the 80's feeling of Dracula X: Rondo of Blood soundtracks. You know that they remake the same sounds for the same character. Well, about Richter-era music, I like:

Divine Bloodlines, Bloody Tears and Moon Fight.

Alucard-era:

Wandering Ghosts, The Tragic Prince and Requiem for the Gods.

My favorite track in the series is Forest Of Monsters from Super Castlevania IV. I remember playing that game on my friends' SNES, and being blown away by the awesomeness of that song.

I recommend at least Anti-Soul Mysteries Lab, Lament of Innocence, House of Sacred Remains and Rear Garden (which is slow at first but the last part of the song... oh boy, you'll be in for a treat)
