Whoever wants it can have it.  Just say you want to lead.  I guess the others will have to deal.  The leader is important because they will send the troops where they feel they are needed.

Think, "regime change" or overthrow of the government.  Its Frech, so no suprize that the term gets people confused.  Liu Bei was supposed to be the ruler, but everyone got so impatient that they dumped him leaving a power vacume to be fill by anyone who felt like filling it.JeffSteel

well I hate to tell you that in Shu Ma Chao did nothing but guard a gate

and thats it Wang Peng was the real hero of Shu just to let you know but

And as for Ma Chao, a lot of his exploits occured before he joined Shu.   He took Cheng Du effortlessly, something Zhuge Liang never accomplished.  He would have killed Xu Zhu if Cao Cao hadn't called Zhu back.  He was a hairs breath from killing Cao Cao, Cao had to turn tail a flee on foot, abandoning everything save the shirt on his back just to barely escape being run through by Ma Chao himself.  Ma Chao also fought Zhang Fei to a draw for an entire day.
