Alright Wunatics first meeting

The wunatics took their seat. The leader Jeffhardy141 shook Bug_Trevor's hand and asked him to sit down next to him. He greeted Garaking and poured him some wine. Hisagi walked in and sat down gettign comfortable. Harpey and Squall walked in together and joined Hisagi. Jeffhardy looked at the Wunatics and said "Wunatics let us have our first meeting". Everyone quited down and I said "Today let us talk about strategists". Everyone sat up straighter and I said "We shall talk about the Wu strategists Lu Xu, Lu Meng, and Zhou Yu. I said "As this council state why one of those are you're favorite Wu strategists, and Wunatics... please dont be afraid to contradict you're fellow brothers". Harpey looked at me surprised and I said "And sisters". Everyone nodded and we all chanted the Wunatic Motto.

you forgot the N in lu xun's name lol ok i think lu xun is the best stratagist. his fire attack was amazing and he captured Guan Yu!!!

Well my favorite between the three in the way of strategists is almost an equal race.

Choice 1: Lu Xun, he commanded the Wu Army to many a successful battles after both Lu Meng and Zhou Yu had passed on. He turned a few battles around with brilliant strategies. One such battle was the Battle of Yi Ling. While Shu was never at a true advantage Lu Xun's plan for the fire attack sealed the deal on that battle in which he defeated the "Great Zhuge Liang" putting it in the books as a win for Wu.

Choice 2: Lu Meng, commanded Wu in battles such as He Fei and Fan Castle. He Fei did not go well. Wu's massive force was defeated by Zhang Liao's cunning as well as the small Wei army behind him. Fan Castle however was a brilliant success. His arrival from the South forced Guan Yu into retreating to Mai castle. Guan Yu attempted to escape to Yi province shortly there after but was captured and slain. All this thanks to Lu Meng. Lu Meng did however die shortly after the death of Guan Yu due to a supposed curse that also claimed the life of Cao Cao.

Choice 3: Zhou Yu, led the Wu army from the time of Sun Ce until his death shortly after Chi Bi. Aiding Sun Ce greatly with his strategies during the Conquest of Wu. Later he commanded the Allied forces of Wu and Shu in the battle of Chi Bi. His plan was to set the Wei ships ablaze in a great fire attack. Many claim that this was Zhuge Liang's plan however all Zhuge Liang did was call for the correct wind then leave to go behind Wu's back and take Yi Province. This brilliant fire attack coupled with Pang Tong's idea to use the Chain Strategy led to a great victory against Cao Cao's much larger naval force.

The resumés for all three strategists of Wu are almost equal and therefore should all be regarded equally.

However to pick a favorite I would have to pick Zhou Yu due to Chi Bi.

I would disagree on that because of these reasons

Compare Zhou Yu's use of fire to attack Cao Cao and Lu Xun's to attack Liu Bei. Lu Xun had more problems than Zhou Yu. In the first place, Zhou Yu received his command when the southern army was fittest, Lu Xun received his command when the southern army had already suffered several reverses. In the second place, Zhou Yu had support of Liu Bei against Wei, while Lu Xun had a wathful predetar to his North, Cao Pi. And in third place Zhou Yu had the help of Kongming, Pang Tong, Huang Gai, Kan Ze, and Gan Ning. Lu Xun had to contend with the doubts of Zhang Zhao, Gu Yong, Bu Zhu, Han Dang, and Zhou Tai.

All good points Hardy. Although I would not consider two people from Shu constituting Shu help but good points nontheless. Lu Xun was definetly the better strategist of the two however I still like Zhou Yu better.bug_trevor

Ya but Ling Tong's got the speed and the funnier gimmick. Gan Ning is ownage and has great movesets (both games)

Ya but Ling Tong's got the speed and the funnier gimmick. Gan Ning is ownage and has great movesets (both games)

I pick Ling Tong. His Nunchuka was my second fave weapon in DW5. Three sectioned staff is fave in DW6:Empires.

Gan Ning is not far behind as his weapon sets in all games is great along with movesets and musou.

Im surprised of these results. I made this topic to see what youll say but Im surprised Ling Tong proved to be the more popular person. To me I think Ling Tong is miles away from being in leage of Gan Ning. I mean WU having Gan Ning and Ling Tong is extremly benefical, but to compare those two with each other...

Yer, you really need to have both, after all in the games their characters bounce off each other all the time.

Ling Tong definately has the speed factor though
