[QUOTE="SHUTupNrocK8"]That's true, but I guess all gamesare hard and easy varying the difficulty. I actually find Resident Evil extremely fun and easy on Hard or Professional, you just have to know the game, it's not that the games challenge it's how you play the game that makes in challenging. Of course, I know everything and anything about Resident Evil and played previous games so I just go to the hardest difficulty.SHUTupNrocK8

I'd have to agree on that, I love games such as Resident Evil that are easy at first and then get's harder and harder as you progress into the game. RE4 is still the best I've played yet in the series and was one heck of a game !

And it's always good when you can adjust the level of difficulty much higher but then again I mostly use ''Normal'' when playing a game :P.

Of course, but games like Resident Evil, I know what I'm dealing with so I go to the highest difficulty. But there one game thats so hard that I can't even progress in. Guitar Hero II, I do great on Hard mode and I get 5 stars in "Beast and the Harlot" and then go to Expert, it's nothing like Hard. That game gives you no time at all to adjust and get better, it's either you have extremely fast fingers or your not going to be good at it. I find playing the real guitar alot easier than that game.

Meh, I try the hardest difficulty after finishing the game :P.

[QUOTE="SHUTupNrocK8"]Well, I consider games like GoW, Halo, G.R.A.W. etc. hard considering the fact that people get too good at them on Multiplayer and it makes multiplayer of fun, But I don't have that problem because I'm good at all three of them .REVOLUTIONfreak

When you say "GoW" you mean Gears of War and not "God of War" right? That game was actually very easy, or at least on the casual mode it was.

EDIT: By the way, I was wondering if I could ask you something Hyruleanlink. When you're playing Metroid Prime, do you ever find yourself in a room that seems extremely dark, as in to the point where you can hardly see your environment?

Oh yeah! I'll spend sometimes 5-10 minutes trying to find a way out or to climb. I even complained to my sister that I can't see. I use my charge beam, morph ball, and bombs (morph ball) to lighten the path. I find using the charge beam the best. This game has given the BEST challenge in awhile.

AHA! :P You see, ihateelvis and I had a debate a few days ago about the lighting, and he said he hadn't had any issues with it, but I have the EXACT sameissues about it that you do. I do the same thing, I'll shoot my beam or go to morph ball form just so that it puts either a new perspective on things or lights up the room. Plus, if you shoot around for a little bit while your surveying for platforms or ledges to jump onto, you can tell where to jump by shooting your beam. If it hits something, you know there's a platform there. If not, then it's a no go. Part of me thinks that it is ingenious, the other part of me says it's annoying. I'm currently stuck at one part JUST because I can't see the ledges I'm supposed to be jumping onto. How far are you in the game?

I shoot my beam all the time to see the path. I killed the plant thing, Flaagara (sp?), about two days ago. That plant took me about 4-5 times to kill it:evil:, but a challenge that I enjoyed:). I have been exploring the Magmoor Caverns and haven't really made progress. I am kinda going where ever or where I have access. Sadly, I start school Monday and my play time will decrease. BTW, ihateelvis must have good eyes to see.:P

Wow....I guess I just have a naturally lighter screen than you guys. :P

And btw, I have to wear glasses/contacts constantly, so my eyesight isn't all that great. ;)

Oh **** NO, that's right **** NO! :| Games nowadays are FAR too easy. Seriously, TP, SPM, NSMB and many other games are far too easy. And now people are still complaining about some of the so called "hard" games that come out now. Take for example Yoshi Island DS, I can't believe people where saying it was too hard. ARe you ****ing kidding me!?! There were some harder levels, but overall it had the right amount of difficulty. Nobody today knows difficulty, they all just want to breeze through everything. People want things hand spooned to them, and the same applies to videogames. If it has any difficulty they will whine about it.

They will whine if they're cowards with no will of beating the game. I repeat myself: nothing's better (in video games) than the feeling you get when you overcome a particularly hard challenge. This feeling of pride and satisfaction is priceless.

It depends. On easy setting, it's...easy. I didn't try with harder settings yet.

Obviously, that's for every gamer :P. Anyways, I hope that Resident Evil 5 is SOO HARD on Professional mode.

Speaking of Resident Evil......I bought RE4: Wii Edition today. Would you consider that a hard game (on the normal setting)? I haven't played it yet, I've been too absorbed in Metroid Prime 3, of course. :P

Yes. Resident Evil 4 is a hard game overall. But I think it depends of the gamer. I wasn,t used to shooters at all before RE4 so I bet I found it harder than it really is.

I didn't play a Resident Evil game till Resident Evil 4 and the difficulty is a challenge on Normal. There is a difference on Resident Evil 4 with normal and easy. If your new to the series try easy first.

No way. You should NEVER play a game on easy. I usually play games on the default setting (normal/medium), but I see no point in playing any less than that. The challenge is half the fun, so why remove it? As easy as games are nowadays, I can't imagine how easy most games are on easy mode. Think of TP on easy mode. It would have only taken 5 hours to finish.

I have finished it on Normal as well. I have not beaten Professional on it though. Also imagine how easy Wind Waker would be on easy. I think the easiest Zelda game in the series.

Speaking of RE4, the difficulty on Normal is just right. Right now, I'm finding that the most challenging thing about it is the fact that it's hard to find space for everything that you want!

I would also have to say that a challenge of a game may vary to each person. A first plays mostly FPSs may find them easier than a person who plays them rarely. Also developers I do believe keep in mind that they don't want to make the game too hard for the gamer. I forgot who mentioned it, but Miyamto(sp?) mentioned about the hardness in Galaxy. I think he talks about in his conversion during E3 or I watched on G4.He said that they made a point of hardness, but had taken things out because THEY thought it was too hard. I would have have to watch the video again.

I just want variety. It should start how incredibly easy and then get incredibly hard. That's what I like, sort of like SSBM.
