[QUOTE="HyruleanLink"] Shigeru Miyamoto Talks to MSNBC About E3 I came across this article in the Wii forums a few days ago. I highly recommend that you at least read the second question asked by the writer concerning E3. It gives us insight how E3 is changing (which it has) and what Nintendo is doing. lebanese_boy

This only compliments my theory that Nintendo might leave E3 and show it's big hit titles in it's own event. It looks like I might be right after all, who knows?

I saw the interview a few days ago, and it is a good read. I think that's what Nintendo is aiming for, but I also still don't see it as much of an excuse for their poor showing this year. Perhaps if we still had Leipzig this year, or if Nintendo participated at all in TGS, I might understand a lackluster E3... but having all of that and a lackluster E3, only leads the public to believe that Nintendo has nothing more to show than what they've already displayed. Obviously, they've got stuff, so they need to stop being so secretive and tell gamers the stuff they want to hear. Heck, all they'd have had to do is give us a trailer of a Zelda game and fans would have been happy. That's all they had to do.

True because I was satisifed when they showed the first trailer of Twilight Princess in 2004 but most of the things in that trailer weren't even in the final game.

Nintendo obviously has something in plans for this year, I mean come on how long are they going to make me suffer for a new Zelda trailer?

And sad to say but, I also now believe that E3 is dead. Ah 2006 was it's golden year.

Zelda would have been enough for me as well. E3 is now dead to me after this year and what I read. E3 had its final golden year in 2006. Now it is a ground for stragetic marketing and business meeting. Nintendo has more behind closed doors, that I am convinced of.

Yes I agree E3 was good in 2006 but 2007 and 2008 weren't good at all it. I don't think E3 is what its use to. 2004 was probably its best year for Nintendo when they announced the DS and that Zelda trailer.

I don't think E3 is dead. Sure, Nintendo disappointed us with no big news and almost nothing worthwhile, but overall we got a lot of info. Microsoft and Sony had a lot of new information and exciting announcements. As a gamer, I got plenty to be happy about, even if I wasn't "wowed" by 1 company individually.

I'm actually pretty intrigued with several offerings from Sony. I didn't watch their E3 press conference, but I learned about a lof of games on Friday's X-Play. LittleBigPlanet looks interesting, and Reistence 2 should be good. I also think Infamous will be great.

I know I said E3 is dead, but a more correct term is what we know it as has changed. It is not what it used to be. Even though Nintendo didn't announce many titles, I am still interested in a few. I am thinking about getting Wii Music this holiday and probably Wii Sports Resort. The Clone Wars and CoD 5 has my interest as well.

The sad part of it all, is that despite all of the complaints surrounding Wii Sports Resort and Wii Music, I'll probably buy them both anyway.

I'm really intrigued by the WiiMotion Plus peripheral (in fact, I seem to be a sucker for every peripheral Nintendo releases), and I'd definitely pay to orchestrate some Zelda music on my Wii (if you can still do that).

Nintendo will need to show off a new Zelda sooner or later its either every 2 or 3 years difference between each console game.
