What are your opinions on this game from the score it recieved. I mean it's Mario and Sonic but to be honest I have not been convinced that it is a must have title I was actually thinking it could be a fun game but the controls don't seem to be that easy to use and it looks frustrating as well and it seems like just another party game for the Wii. If you don't already know it scored a 6.0 which is average but a game that usually gets that I don't bother getting anyway and I don't have 4 Wii motes or 4 friends anyway so I am not gonna waste my time on getting it.
The game is garbage, as simple as that. I never really hyped this game to score any higher then 6.0 and that's why I'm honnestly not surprised at all. Really a bad way to celebrate Mario and Sonic's first game together.
If you makes you feel better chocolate, check out IGN's review. They surprised us all by giving it a 7.9 which was rather generous.
Mario and Sonic is one of those games that you're going to buy despite reviews. It's one of these that you know what you are getting with it and if the idea of Mario and Sonic competing in sporting events doesn't float you're boat, then you're better off waiting for Brawl or hoping that we'll eventually see them have an adventure together.
For me, I expected mediocre review just because of what it was and the cold reception it got but I won't let it deter me from buying it because I like good mini game collections and it doesn't bother me much.

I wasn't expecting a quality game it just looks awful and I am not getting it based on one review I am not getting it because it will be boring and won't last a long time like Smash Bros Brawl or Mario Kart Wii. I never expected it to be good anyway a fair review in my opinion.I would get bored after 30 minutes.

I agree completely. Games like theses put the wii down and doesn't let it fill up to its name. I am not very big on mini games so I will pass as well. I didn't expcept a high review either.
personally i want an rpg with sonic and mario characters.
mario, luigi, yoshi and peach for the mario universe.(i would love geno but it wouldnt happen)
sonic, tails, knuckles, and shadow for sonic characters.
eggman and bowser team up! it could have a story similar to the mario brothers z flash series, saying that spnic and shadow are from another dimension seems like the best way to explain it to me.

I've never liked sports games, but sports minigames? Blech! Mario and Sonic at the Olympics is probably the most unappealing game to me at the moment, and there is no way I'm going to bother getting a game such as this just because it has Mario and Sonic in it. We have enough Mario spinoffs, I'm just waiting for the real deal. :D

Well I'll start a flame war and say that I rented it this past weekend and actually had a lot of fun with it. Sure it wasn't the coming together of heroes I had hoped for but it was a lot of fun. It's the sort of game myhusband and I can play together and laugh at or maybe I just like some of the mini-game collections for the Wii.
kbaily - There seems to be a lot of people that have enjoyed the game themselves, just check the Wii forums, a lot of people have said that they liked it. It's just the reviews see it as another minigame collection, but unlike most of them this one seems to actually have some decent minigames in it.

Being fun and being a quality game are generally not the same thing. I've had fun with a ton of games that were pretty bad. Sonic Adventure 2 Battle being one example.
