Yet another Mario spinoff title has been confirmed for the Wii with the second Mario Baseball game to appear on the Wii. I did not play the last one but this game does look like it will use the Wii mote for batting in the game. What can we expect from this title in the future and do you think it will be a successful game.

It actually sounds really fun, I love baseball alot. I enjoy Wii Sport's Baseball, I play it everyday. If this game is any batter than that which it surely will be, it will be a very fun game.

This actually isn't anything new, we've known about this for a few weeks now. It's worth noting that this isn't going to be a retail release, but rather it will be released as "WiiWare". That also means it'll be budget priced though, which is appropriate for a game like this IMO.

I knew about the game, but didn't know that it is for WiiWare. I enjoyed the first Mario basballl on the GC. Baseball is my favorite sport so I will most likely get it.

Mario Baseball for GC was nothing short of superb. This is the kind of sports game will work great on the Wii. I don't want a "serious" game like Madden on the Wii, but this should be great fun. I'm sure I'll pick it up.

Wow, that changes everything. I'm assuming it's going to be stripped-down with only a bare bones multiplayer. I'll wait for more details, but I'm very disappointed.

Well, I could be wrong, but I know I read that somewhere.

Meanwhile, I was looking through some old news, and apparently Nintendo is planning on updating the Everybody Votes Channel to include the ability to rate recent games. Sounds cool.

A Wiiware Mario Baseball game, huh? At this point, it seems things could go either way: great for an inexpensive game, or simply too basic to be worth a purchase. Hmmm....
