The recent grand success of Pokémon Diamond & Pearl is not new to anybody, these 2 titles have most certainly pushed forward the Pokémon's popularity. Why not push it even more forward with 2 new remakes much like it did on the GBA ?

Most of you already know about Pokémon Firered/Leafgreen on the GBA, these are the remakes of the 2 games that started everything in the series; Pokemon Red/Blue.

But 2 other titles were huge, possibly even bigger then Red/Blue, on the Gameboy console. Yes I'm speaking about Pokémon Gold/Silver, the games that takes place in the wonderful land of Johto. These were 2 excellent titles on the Gameboy and I know some of you might want them back.

Most of the Gold/Silver owners might have experienced a technical difficulty while starting up their game; the cartridge won't save anymore and the save file is gone. This is due to the death of the battery life from the internal battery that serves to save up your game. This is one of the reasons why I want a remake, to be able to fully play that game again !

So what do you say ? Would you like a rebirth of the 2 amazing titles: Pokemon Gold/Silver ? I can see this; Pokemon SparklingGold/ShinySilver :D.

While I have to admit that Gold/Silver are my all-time favourite Pokemon games, I wouldn't pay for a full-price remake of the game, mainly because I already have Gold and I've done quite a bit in it to boot. This isn't to say that I disagree with the idea of a remake, as it could be improved upon to make it near-perfect, but I just wouldn't find myself paying for this game again. For all the people who didn't get to experience the game, however, then they should totally consider buying a remake, so that they may experience the game with the larger flaws removed. ;)

It also is probably my favorite Pokemon game, but I wouldn't pay for it either considering I've already played the game, and it has aged pretty gracefully.

I don't want a remake of the games. I wouldn't buy it since I have the original ones. Besides, they could use the time to make a new Pokemon game instead of a remake. In all honesty Gamefreak should start making some more games that aren't Pokemon.

I wouldn't buy it, but I voted 'HELL YEAH!' because it deserves it! Red/Blue were awesome, Silver/Gold were ever way better, Ruby/sapphire were less, I don't even want to touch Diamond/Pealr. Those new pokemon simply look crap!

Considering the fact that this game introduced berries, Two Regions, and My Favorite Pokemon ... I would have to say ... WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR! Pokemon Silver and Crystal are My favorite Pokemon games ever made with success with Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen - Emerald, Ruby and Sapphire ... I wouldn't see why not?

I would say yes ONLY if they added new features like WiFi battles (And maybe the ability to battle Pokemon D/P owners) otherwise There would be no real incentive for me to buy them.

You make a good point. I am probably not willing to pay for this game again.

Every good point, but what about the younger Pokemon player that were way too young to play it and that are Playing the games now and never got to play B/R/Y and G/S/C. They got to play The orinigal with their GBA and why not G/S/C, I'd buy it because it's not like any other Pokemon ... It have 2 regions and I would pay to play it again, yet I have alot of money and don't know what to do with it.

Well like Firered/Leafgreen did, after the Johto adventure you'd get the National Dex and then you could be able to get Kanto/Johto/Hoen/Sinnoh pokemons in Kanto (altough seems too unrealistic ...).

Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal were my favorite in the whole series.  I would buy them in an instant due to my love of the original.  Although, there really is not a need to make a remake due to that the Johto Pokemon are covered.  Like, they made FireRed and LeafGreen so that people could get all the Kanto and Johto Pokemon that were not avalable in Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald.  So, it is not probable.  I would still welcome it with open arms though.

It might be a good idea to see what new things they would add to them.

I still wouldn't buy it because I don't like spending money , unless I really want the game.
