Well i thought this would help our other members to maintain their products since i have to constantlly remind myself to do so.
Tip # 1: Only use Nintendo brand screen protecters. I've seen others and they didn't do the job.
Tip # 2": Never let a child who doesn't under stand "don't touch the screen" near any hand held.
Tip# 3: Every so often use eye glass cleaner and cloth to go over the screen(s) and body of your hand held.
Tip# 4" Every so often use que tips to remove dust from the vents in your consoles.
Tip# 5 Takeing a bath or shower with a Nintendo product is extreamly ill adviesed.
Tip# 6 Do not let cartirdge games get near magnets as they screw up memory.
Tip# 7 Nintendo handhelds should not be used as self defence weapons.
Tip# 8 Do not attempt any of the console surivial test as seen on various kinds of media.
Tip# 9 When buying a stylus for the DS make sure it has the Nintendo seal of approvel.
Tip# 10 Controllers should not be used in a tug-o-war contest
Tip # 11 Nin-Ten-Do is not a martial art and you should not put it down as an extra cirricular activity.
Tip #12 Never use any Nintendo system as a coster.
I hope this helped if you have any more questions plz PM me.
tip 11 - :( so i have to remove that?
1. Don't handle your disks with greasy fingers touching the data side
2. Don't eat KFC and then immediatly play the DS - wash your hands first!
3. Recharge unused handhelds such as SP, Micro, DS Fat or Lite when they sit for extended periods of time without being used - this keeps the battery from becoming depleted and losing it's ability to retain a full charge.
4. Don't remove plugs by pulling the wires - pull the connector - that's what it's for.
5. Resist the urge to throw handhelds against:
a) the wall b) the floor c) your friend
that's all i got right now.
2. Dont get mad and smash your N64 controller to pieces because you got knocked into the water in Mario Kart
3. Dont open the tray of any console when a disc or cartridge for that matter is running
4. Dont purposely bend back the top screen of your ds or SP to see "how far it extends" or it may become loose or crack
5. AGAIN DONT EVER BUY ANYTHING MADCATZ
The best tip I have is don't get angry at your games and throw your stuff. I threw my Ps2 controller on the floor last year and cracked it pretty bad. The right part where r1 and r2 is was all messed up but I didn't care my parents where going to Best Buy the next day so I was lucky and they got me a new controller.
not true.... my original DS has pelican screen protectors on it and it doesnt have one scratchREVOLUTIONfreakHeck, that's because you're a Revolutionfreak, not a sad playmetroidalldayFreak, like me :). Anyway, tips: Don't play anything while eating, buttons will get stuck and will be less responsive. ALWAYS check for cracks or scratches when playing handhelds; A stich in time saves Nine. NEVER remove game cartridges or CDs while a console or handheld is turned on. ALWAYS remove a game from it's drive after play. That's all for now. Good thread by the way.
#12 make sure your pocket has no lent in it before you put handhelds in your pocket.
#13 Do not use picto chat to anger other drivers (ex: Drawing a extended middle finger or writting f**k you! and show it to drivers on the road.)You and your DS will live longer.
14: Don't play and drive :|.
15: Don't use the gamecube as a "purple lunch box"
16: Don't play a game if you have anger mangement problems
17: Don't push to hard on the DS screen with the stylus
18: Do not barry any game in the sand
19: Make sure you don't have any games or handhelds in your pocket before you wash them.
20: Don't swim and play
21: Don't drink and play
haha no drinking and playing..... i could see that being the next law passed through congress14: Don't play and drive :|.

Okay. I've done this on all of my systems and games and they have worked flawlessly over the years. What you need is a mallet. You can probably purchase a big hammer at a Home Depot or Lowes for around 5 dollars. The bigger the better!
Next, depending on how big of a mallet you bought, stand at an adequate distance from your system/game. Lift the mallet as high as possible, then, as if you're playing Beaver Basher at one of those annoying arcades, smash whatever is under the mallet once it comes into contact with the ground. You're system/game will function perfectly no matter what from now on. :D

I hope you never actually did that.... there actually is such a thing as e-waste, it pollutes the air from destroyed/smashed electronics.

Tell that to the Amish. I see those people smashing electronics all the time...
Also, doing the said maneuver on a particular game called E.T. for the Atari 2600 avails stupendous results.
now isnt exactly a good time to talk about the amishPlease Log In to post.
