E3 2012: Final Fantasy Realtime Demo is a Graphical Powerhouse
Please, please, please be FFXV!
It looks great, but I hope it wont be FFXV. Basicly it is not a balanced composition of the fantasy world and the real world, just the thought of full automatic weapons is a bad idea to a FF game. I hope this game is something that will make Squares games in the spotlight again thoughlordmewSame, really hope it's not actually FFXV, just an example of what the graphics will be like. Plus I'd prefer a male lead character again in a new FF.

Male or female lead characther, lets count shall we.
FF2 : Firion
FF4 : Cecil
FF5 : Bartz
FF6 : Terra
FF7 : Cloud
FF8 : Squall
FF9 : Zidane
FF10 : Tidus
FF12 : Vaan
FF13 : Lightning
That would be two females and eight male leading characthers. If you twist around a bit then you can say Yuna is FFX`s protagonist and Ashe is FFXII`s which would make four females and six males. I dont think of females as bad protagonists (Prime example : Terra) , but Light was one of the worst in the seriesÂ
I haven't played about half the FF games, so I can't talk about alot of them. But out of female characters, I feel FFXIII has the worst, and FFX probably has the best. In fact, I like all characters from FFX, it's an awesome game. Vann was a crap lead male character in FFXII, I liked Balthier and Basch more. I'm not very far into FFVII yet, but so far I like the characters.irishdude199210
Yeah, the only character I really like was Sahz. The rest were Ok to Dull. The best characters would come from FF6 and FF12.Â

Double that, I couldnt agree any more with you.
Oh and Vaan was probably one of their least favorable characthers through the series. My friend did like that he became a very good mage though. FFVII`s cast is okey, I belive that the best characther in that game was already dead in the storyline (*Me hinting at Zack*). Â There is one thing I couldnt quite understand with FFVII, the death scene of Aerith, why do people think it is sad? I thought that when Celes tried to take suecide was way more sad.
Woah! No ffvii spoilers here! I don't know the storyline, I did know aeris died but no more please.irishdude199210
Everyone knows she dies, thats why I mentioned it. Maybe shouldnt said anything about Celes though.
On a different topic, have any of you heard of a game called Vagrant Story. Apperantly it is a Squaresoft game (from before SqEnix) to the PS1 that had a story going in Ivalice and that the the story of it were a different story from Ivalice. I think I might buy it because of the combo Squaresoft + IvaliceÂ

I've played it before. It seemed pretty good. You could select what body part to attack (I always aimed for the head though :P ), abit like in fallout 3. Would've played it more, but I had/still have other games to play.[QUOTE="irishdude199210"]Woah! No ffvii spoilers here! I don't know the storyline, I did know aeris died but no more please.lordmew

I didn't really like Vagrant Story. The battle system was good but the story dragged on and their was so much tracking back. It's one of those games that when you level up the monsters level up with you I think.

One of 'those' games were monsters level up with you- you make it sound bad.[QUOTE="Balmane"][QUOTE="lordmew"][QUOTE="irishdude199210"]Woah! No ffvii spoilers here! I don't know the storyline, I did know aeris died but no more please.irishdude199210

My brother bought Persona 3 and 4 awhile back. I really want to play them but PS3 games need to be finished :PÂ
I was very impressed with the tech demo. By any chance, does anyone know if it was the Luminous Engine which the company showcased it?Quietpower09
I beleive it is :)
I loved Basch, he was an amazing character. Vaan was one of the main problems from that gameBalmaneBasch was awesome! The guy was a killing machine!

Prob my fave character of all the series.BalmaneWouldn't go that far, but definitely in the top 10.
Basche and Vivi are my favourites. There is just something about Vivi I love :PBalmaneI like ViVi too. He is second to Kuja in IX.

Whats not to love about Vivi! :P
Vivi Oruntia, neh not one of my favorites.lordmewWho is your favorite lordmew? Maybe it would be fun if we all made top 10 lists:P

It would be Montblanc, Gilgamesh or Terra.
Cant beat those. I would have to think a long time to manage to put a top ten upÂ
Maybe I should make a thread on it hmmm... First have to see if their has been one yet.BalmaneI couldn't technically make a list because I haven't played FF2,3,4,5 or 9. Only played half of 6 and about a quarter of 7 so they don't really count either. FF1 doesn't have actual characters per se, that's why I didn't include it in my 'haven't played' list :P

FF 2 is lacking in good characters as well. FFIV is a really good FF. I have played it more than any other FF. My mother had it on SNES, but I never really got far in it. Then I got it for Playstation, but for CT. Played FFIV, but not really into it. I was to spoiled on FFVII-FFIX. Then I got it for GBA when I was a bit older and finally gave it the attention it deserved. I then played it on ds because it was a remake. Then played it for PSP so I could play the sequel. You can still do a character list. You have still played a lot of them.
