You know what I applaud at your effort that FFX-2 really grabs your attention and not mine. I should be ashamed, that a Final Fantasy Fan can't commit himself to play FFX-2. Oh, I am not worthy... I am not worthy of this club. How ashame I am. I'm going to start later today.i was suprised at how different the game was from other FF games. however, hate became love lol.
im trying to play FFIX but X-2 keeps screaming " PLAY ME!".

ROFL very insightful
lol Indeed, and you know it. I was gonna say something about Yuna but...well, kinda inappropriate so I didn't.FFX>FFX-2
FFX had a set story line
FFX-2 was more of a orpg where you could kind of do what ever exept for the odd ones you had to do.
Haha, the last one rocked:P But i have to say i think FFX is alot more fun to replay then FFX-2..but thats me..But i did FFX-2 like 4times before i stopped:PFFX: slow paced
FFX-2: fast paced
FFX: sad
FFX-2: happy
FFX: boring to replay
FFX-2: fun to replay
FFX: loved it
FFX-2: loved it
Oh wait, that's not a difference, oh well. I still have more playtime on FFX-2 than FFX. I love FFX-2 so much! YRP forever!

Well okeyFFX had 7 characters: Tidus, Yuna, Auron, Wakka, Lulu, Kimahri, Rikku. :D
Only girl as main characters.
FFX didn't have a happy ending but FFX-2 did.
FFX had the sphere system FFX-2 had lvling system
FFX-2 had dress spheres, FFX didn't have.
FFX had 6 characters, FFX-2 had 3
FFX had only one way to complete the game, FFX-2 had two different ways
Thats what i have for now;)
FinalHorror
wow...no one's even taking notice of the bright sides that FFX-2 brought
FFX-2 brought in the first bit of combos in Final Fantasy, and the use of Trigger Happy made that possible. And come on, who didn't love that ability? Also, the annoying sphere grid was tossed, and the new Garment Grid brought back the old roots of being able to choose was class your character was, instead of you having to deal with the same crap over and over with the same characters in FFX.
FFX was also a bit short on big sidequests, like the Via Purifico in FFX-2. And the music in FFX-2 had more of a message in them, you knew right away what was meant to show happy, sad, angry, and other such moments.
Of course, I'm not saying FFX-2 had its flaws. I wanted so badly to be able to use Yuna and Rikku in blitzball in FFX, and even though you can in FFX-2, you can't control the players anymore, something I still can't believe Square Enix decided to do. And finally, let's just say it, FFX-2 was a blatant attempt at bringing in a larger male audience into the FF series, with a blatant Charlie's Angels ripoff.
But you have to agree, it worked.
