what was your favourite villain from the list?

I guess most will say Sephiroth, but I will go for Seymour!
He is just wicked, now there will be spoilers from FFX

Kefka because he's the only one who destroyed the world and ruled it. Besides, he was so evil and insane he made the wannabe "evil dudes" be in disgust. Besides having that evil hillarious laugh, he had epic quotes like this one.

"AHEM! There's SAND in the my boots!"

i say that jecht was a better boss than seymour so he gets my second-place vote and my first place one goes to an evil clown because from what ive read about 6, he is one crazy dude. that is why im going to be getting 6 ASAP!

the keyword of your statement is HAD meaning he ether lost the power or he is dead.and we all know he is dead.while sephy on the other will be ressurected.just face it kefka failed because he is dead and he'll never be revived.thanks to most of the fanbase not giving a damn about final trash 6.MASTERBLADEX

well... fs did say some "other" villain. I'd bet those villain stated up there wouldn't even make 2nd best villain for him.

kefka did fail because he is dead.sur he mangled the world bt he did'nt totaly destroy it.and he got hi ass kick by a bunch of pansys.at least sephiroth got killed by a skilled swordsman ho looks cool with nice hair and a kickass sword.and plus sephiroth iss better then kefka.MASTERBLADEX

I have to agree, but stop with the emo kid, pansys. And god damn, stop with the he looks cool and nice hair!

Kefka didn't fail! And Kefka was just plain EVIL! This is what made him the best villain ever!

Sephiroth didn't achieive the same things, but he was still a great villain! It is a reason that so many loves and hate him!

And as Albead said, try to make it a good discussion. There is no need to say the same things in every thread : )

Just a quick thing: ExDeath is a better boss than Sephiroth or any FF villain for me. That's why I like him the best.

only in AC, apparantly, he was not emo at all in the original VII. I liked both Sephy and Kefka, but i liked Sephiroth more becuse we actually got to know about him and his backstory, I was interested to know more about him. Kefka was just plain twisted and evil.

You're calling IV's and VI's characters bland when the only good characters in FFVII are Vincent and Barret? Irony. :roll:

You could honestly say thaT FFVII is bland with cliche characters and a cliche villian to match. You have to remember that the plot twists in FFVI and FFIV might be cliche today, but they are cliche because they were so great the first time around - meaning when FFVI and FFIV were new they were not cliche

As a side note, how many games have you played where the bad guy actually wins? That;s what I thought. It isn't cliche. No one ever does it. Square did though

I didn't like Barrett. I did like Red XIII

Kefka was, and still is, very unique. HE has an odd personality to say the least. His metaphors. The way he talks. The way he acts. Very unique. IT all contributes to just how much of a nutjob he really is. "Ahem. I';ve got sand on my boots"

The thing I like about FF VI is that the one who ends up ruling the world, Kefka, is completely unexpected, but vaguely possible. He was only a general (can't remember if he was general or anything higher) from the Empire, equaling in rank with Celes or Leo. There was a lot of villains in the Empire, but Gestahl was the mastermind behind the Empire, you'd expect HIM to rule over the world. But seeing a psycho clown doing it in the end is something quite unexpected and it adds to the flavor. One of the reasons I pick Kefka over Sephiroth as the best villain in all FF.LoneRex

Kefka was unique, there aren't many other villains quite like him (that I know of at least). I liked his craziness and psychotic-ness. I liked sephiroth, too. He had an interesting backstory, going from a hero to a twisted maniac! They both killed people, and they both failed in the end. They are both some of my favorite villains, along with Kuja, who was also a bit crazy (what can I say, I love crazy people :P)

characters from VII had personality, definetely. And the same for VI.
