Personally, i hate spoilers, and i mind being spoiled...

But, i've seen people actually don't care about being spoiled, and for some reason, ask for every reason to be spoiled. They want to know the ending before they've even accessed the "New Game" option!

What's your worst "spoiled" moment? [ in a FF of course ]

** And, to 'protect' :| people who dislike being spoiled, i wouldn't ask you to avoid the FFXII boards for now, but, look at the topics there and make sure they should contain no spoilers. **

Reading a lot of spoilers kills my wildest feeling of anticipation especially for the FF series

exactly... the thing that really keeps me going in a FF, is the story. I can't bear to switch off my PS2, because i'm anticipating every single cut scene that is to follow.

My attitude towards spoilers, is the same attitude that I have towards stealing, cheating, and hacking, I hate them.

The main driving force behind any good RPG is a splendid story. Spoilers ruin that, and results in you feeling like you've been cheated out of. I was cheated in FFVII's end of disc one and the end of FFX. I tried as hard as possible to erase such knowledge but alas it's always somewhere in the back of your mind. So, now I may never know, the true impact feeling that I may have gotten at those defining moments in the story of the game. A lot of my friends, admitted they at least shed one tear, throughout those scenes. When I went through those scenes after being spoiled, I couldn't... I was sad... but not to that extent... And I'm usually the first one to jerk a tear.

That's why now, I'm grabbing FFXII on day one. And shutting all communication from those little bakas, until I finish the main portion. :D

hehe, I also go through "procedures" while playing a good game for the first time.  I usually shut away in a safe and sound proof place.

SPOILER IN THIS SO DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED FF7 (though I'm sure you all have :D) I think it depends on the game to be honest. FF is a no for spoilers, it just destroys the whole point in the game (we like FF for the amazing and surprising stories) and if you know about some of the main SHOCKING parts b4 they happen then thats the game wrecked. take SPOILER Aeris' death for example that would not have had the same impact if you knew about it.

don't rub it in.... i still have nightmares about the moment i was spoiled [FFVII] Oh, yeah, FFXII  I'm glad i was one of the first to be able to play it :P Long live Asians! :D lol. If not, i know that GS is one of the places to avoid when it comes to spoilers, and i'd probably be MIA for up to 7 months. [JPN release March -- NA Release October]

have to agree, I dislike spoilers very much. I play through a game at least once before I read any type of hints or secret info on a game.

Someone "forgot" to mark for spoilers once so that "thing" that happens to a character on FFVII is what spoilers where spoiled for me. :S Does that make sense...?

what? president shinra?

joking. i knew about that too. i asked who was that on the back cover and he said" thats when ***** dies". i didnt take it seriously but the more i played the game, the more i started to like this person and wonder when he/she will die. when the person ran off, i knew that the death was so close.

if i didnt know about it, i probably wouldnt have believed it.

It depends on how much is spoiled. :P

I don't necessarily like them, but there have been a few times where I've wanted to go look at some spoilers for a specific game. Although i don't think anyone can truly "like" spoilers. It gets rid of the fun of that certain game. It might be nice to look at them, if you don't want to buy the game, and just want to know what it's about.
