Not just them. Emperor would've been alive and probably slaughter a lot more while he was in reign. However, I guess you matter the things he did. I find the thing he last did was able to cover all the bad things he did. At least, it is how they will remember him.

That's the one thing I never got. If they just wanted power and they were already in charge of the government and stuff, why did they need to go around killing people? Star Wars is too much for my brain. Hmm, well maybe he had a premonition that when Luke got older, he'd suddenly turn to the dark side and become even more powerful than the Emporer and himself. I mean, the jedi are pretty much dead, so heck he could be breeding a generation of Vaders. You never know. :P

Oh, nevermind. I cleared everything up with a Star Wars geek. They said that it wasn't Luke who bred a generation of Sith, it was actually Lea's kid that wanted to be a Sith lord. XD How's that for ironic?
