Do the Captains of the Gotei 13 Union act like the real Captains?

Well... Recruits. Do we? Please post your opinion here. This is a fun discussion for Thanksgiving break. No it's not for points. Just for fun. Captains can join along as well.

Now. I well Yamamoto and I went through 6 generations of Captains. I have to say. Funny Generations. Alright. Start.

1- Our Captains can be quite hilarious it's true! :lol:

2. Many are a lot like their characters while others don't seem to fit but whatever works.

Yeah the Captains of the Gotei 13 Union acts like the one on anime but different.

Seker acts like Shunsui perfectly :lol: :P

Jing doesn't remind me of Kenpachi.

sfkm does do Kisuke and Byakuya pretty darn well although sometimes comes on as violently strong.

Euca definitely fits Yoruichi very well!

Nightmare is like hilarious Yamamoto

Curtis is like a more sinister Komamura

Seker is DEFINITELY Shunsui!

Darkfox reminds me of Mayuri although more humorous.

Kat is a good Ukitake.

Jooja gives a good Unohana impression.

I can see Elite as Soi Fon.

Nica is a good Gin.

Grottek definitely comes off as Aizen.

I don't see Ken too often so no idea bout Kenpachi.

Dao makes me think of a more casual Hitsugaya.

Gah me was up until 7 am this morning so yeah typos probably gonna happen.

I keep forgetting Ken is Akon...Never saw him post as Akon either. I remember meeting Ken on manga.com and a little on Yahoo I think but that about it.

Alright you asked so here's what I think.

Yamamoto- Nightmare-_- When he needs to have things done yes, but I'm guessing in real life that he's a practical joker.
Soi Fon/Nel- Eliteguard91 Well she was on a cheerleading squad in real life reminds me of Soi fon working in a group
Gin- Nicaboy456- Poping in and out hiding in the shadows that sounds right.
Unohana- jooja42animefan- Is nice but knows how to become scary if she needs to.
Aizen- Grottekvarnen Yep, except he might be more of a woman chaser
Byakuya/Kisuke- sfkm2 Yep, hatred of Ichigo and overprotective of his squad members
Komamura- Curtis1560 - Doesn't he carry a magic bag around? :P
Shunsui- Seker- There have been a few times where I have nearly tripped over this drunken, and he's always up for a party.
Tousen- Kenkashijd- Not too sure haven't seen him around much.
Hitsugaya- Daorack- He is easing he way into his new found power.
Zaraki- Jing16- Well he currently has a hard time showing up around here, but he seems like the type who in real life wouldn't back down from a fight.
Mayuri- Darkfox55- He's an interesting guy to hang around at least he doesn't hit me.
Ukitake- Katsuri- If Uki were a young British woman than yes. However she also seems to be able to be serious but act silly when she wants to.
Yoruichi- Eucalypta- Helpful, but also very funny.

I just recently got here, but from what I can remember.

Nightmare does give off a Yamamoto vibe, but it feels like he's more of a joker and less serious.

Seker perfectly does Shunsui. *you can't turn your head without seeing him drunk or drinking...or both*

Jooja does feel like she plays off Unohana quite well since she never gets agitated and is always the helper.

Sfkm2 definitely is Byakuya because she dislikes Ichigo, I've experienced her hatred of him myself.

Nicaboy I don't know much about, but he does seem to pop out and into places suddenly like Gin.

I would say the other captains, but I really don't know much about them or seen them much. :P

I must agree with BD on the way Nicaboy456 plays Gin... He fits the role perfectly. Plus.. it was fun hanging out with him in the shadows as Bella... lol. ... Rather interesting ... to quote him... *laughs & grins*

Over all the ppl that play the Captain's roles do a good job, just wish that the ones who aren't here much would be here more... but we all have busy real lives and that needs to come first.

I disagree about Jing...Bleach Kenpachi is more active. Jing seems to take things at a slower pace with little intensity. So far as I've seen...There's Jing and then there's Irritated Jing.

And yeah Hana that can't be helped. But they do show up so that's enough.

I don't see Kenpachi sitting around all the time...He has to spill blood sometime and strangely enough I've noticed the immense white-ness of his haori. :P

I'll keep that in mind next time I don't ask for information... :P

Coco is more lively than Yama. I don't think Yama was anything like him even as a kid, Yama is too uptight. Although he matches in the control department.

Gaby is more "spunky" in some areas that Soi Fon is not. Such as her "Mayuri" thing. Shes like Soi Fon in matters of seriousness for the most part.

Nica-kun is exactally my thoughts of Gin. The cocky and smarta$*y Gin and yet mysterious to most people.

Bella is a little like Unohana but in many retrospects is different. Her priorities and loyalty are like Unohana but her personality differs such as her expressions.

Gottek is not exactally like Aizen in the matter of his personality is slightly more "out there" than reserved and commanding like Aizen.

BB fits Byakuya and Kisuke to a T. Very capable of hardwork and effort, not to mention seriousness, yet capable of goofing off and having fun if the matter isn't serious.

Curt is not much like Kom. He fits the strength department and when need be, serious department. But hes more energetic and talkitive than Kom.

Seker fits the sake drinking part but in terms of seriousness and behavior, Shunsui is more bold than him. Not to mention has more to say.

Ken fits Tousen partially in the seriousness but the fact he can lighten up is different than that which Tousen displays. He has more of a light hearted persona than stick in mud.

Dao, no offense buddy, but I don't think hes like Hitsu at all. Hes far more light hearted and goofs off with his zanpakuto where as Hitsu is a purely serious yet compassionate guy. And a dominating personailty. Dao seems more meek in certain spots.

Jing fits Zaraki. Hes merciless and ignores what he doesn't like. One difference is he is more quick to judge based on first thoughts of someone than after a time like Zaraki. (Often Zaraki does this through battle)

Darkfox? Now that is a intresting one. He seems capable and quality of Mayuri but he is more down to earth and not as psychotic as Mayuri. He half the time fits the part but other half is himself.

Kat... She fits well too. She is fun loving and yet capable of seriousness when the matter calls for it. She does like things I'm sure Ukitake doesn't like though lolz.

Euca... Oh gosh. She is close to a prefect Yoruichi. The difference being she is more... Stotic so to speak. And more commanding than Yoruichi. However at times she does fit, such as the stealing hair tie. But when serious shes more "harsh".

Hm. Imma read after I post to see what I said. I based my opinions off memories due to lack of knowledge on most these peoples attitudes now and if they changed. But from what I've quietly observed, my deductions are fairly accurate.

I know Ken in the union is Akon. If you were here the first 3 arcs, you would see it. However, he's busy. He was in the 12th Squad for a VERY long time. He's the reason why Mayuri's 12th Squad was in 1st Place. sfkm2

Eh to put this in simple terms...People are people. No one persona will perfectly fit another. There are those that come SO close and yet have a few holes between them and there are others that shouldn't even be on opposite sides of the street. And the rest fills every single space in between.

In any case the Captains of Gotei 13 fit the letter of the Bleach Captains to some degrees.
