-Other- Anime/Manga Discussion Thread V.2 (Warning: Spoilers)

This year is the show's 15th year anniversary; the "reboot" has not been clarified, only announced. Besides working on a live action movie in Japan, rumour has it that the anime series will be redone a la Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, or a seperate OVA will be released to finish off the final Arc that never came to be due to the show being prematurely cancelled.

The announcement was released in Spring, but all other info has gone dark ever since.

I'm slowly filtering through shows via Netflix in order to find a new obsession. I'm close to finishing Chobits, which is a worthwhile series, albiet, nothing I would consider having in my collection.

I hear it's somewhat changed from the manga, although, I don't know the specifics.

The two most recent series I finished watching (and ended up actually purchasing) were School Rumble and Ouran High School Host Club. Both actually made me laugh on multiple occasions; I would rank them as definitive rainy day shows, or something to watch on cold, snowy days where you do not want to travel anywhere.

I also got Samurai 7 super cheap at Best Buy on Blu-ray, which was enjoyable to watch as well.

I haven't been watching or reading anything that's new. Is Persona 4 the show you are watching?dancingbeatle

Yep. Everyone should watch it. If you don't like it, ok. At least you gave it a chance. I need to catch up now. I miss 2 episodes.

well i dont read much i only read bleach and naruto from SJ but judging from the posts in the website not to many people are happy about the selection of the sereies they chose to put in it.

Anyone here use Hulu Plus for anime content? I'm strongly debated cancelling the 'disc through the mail' option from Netflix and putting that money towards a paid Hulu account...

Just started watching Death Note and Nabari No Ou on Netflix.

Both are really good, especially when it comes to presentation. Even though I'm only six episodes in on Nabari, I ended up buying the series on eBay for pretty cheap. I might consider buying Death Note when my tax return comes through in the next five weeks or so.

Crunchyroll posted a funny article about the top 10 things that, apparently, the Chinese audience does not understand about anime. For the most, the list can relate to all foreigners even though China was called out, but I found it to be true, there are a lot of repeated patterns and approaches that many shows have.

No problem im currently looking for something to watch myself. Got into Brave 10, and Aquirion Evol ( the new series) they both quite interesting to me.
