I was just curious, since there's a lot of people on Gamespot who don't live in the USA. I know it must be huge in Japan, since the Japanese public is into games more than the American public, but that's all I know. I have a friend from England but he hasn't said much about Zelda in the UK.

Massive in England... it's definately the best game series...
Only problem is the number of casuals in England who just want a PS2... but they will still tell you Zelda is the best

I wouldnt say it's Huge here in the UK. It does have a rather large cult following, and TWW appealed to kids so it sold really well.

When I was in Europe last year (around the UK, Germany, really everywhere) people seemed to be very attracted to the Windwaker and I went into a small town where everyone was crowded watching people play OoT :).True too, it was in a small shop that still had an N64. By what I have seen it looks to be a well rounded fan base.

Here in Mexico Zelda is very popular, although maybe not like in Japan or in the US. Many players aknowledge that Nintendo franchises (Zelda included are the best). When OoT and WW came out, the game was sold out within few days after it came out. So the demand for the next game will be very big. I hope that we could get some of the promotional items or pre-order bonuses. Let's wait and see, but as soon as I can pre-order my game I will.

When OOT first came out, I used to go over my mates after school everynight cause' I didnt have a N64 at the time. We found that our combined efforts made the game a lot easier and also more fun to play. Sadly he no longer likes/plays games, I am also a lonely gamer.

England loves Zelda. And rightly so, i'ts the best! But I think it's most popular in Japan, the counrty that spawned the franchise. Actually, the country that spawned gaming. We owe Japan a lot.

Look at it this way, in America, most kids want to be famous athletes or rappers & Japanese kids probably want to work on video games.

You've got a point, although in my region rap music isn't as popular (still popular, just not as much), but a lot of American kids want to be musicians. A ton of American kids want to be athletes. I, personally, am thinking about being a mechanic. In Japan, working on video games would be very popular. Just look at their culture! I've heard that in Japan, the day a new Final Fantasy game comes out is like a national holiday (not literally, but people over their celebrate like crazy), Final Fantasy games sell millions in their first week!

About 95% of the games I play were created in Japan, they are definintely the best when it comes to games.

I usually use Falco. I got so good at the game since last year this is all we did in our dorm. We had a few people that were so crazy good. They were doing moves I'm sure most people never even heard of. Like the "wave dash" where you slide on the ground backwards similar to shielding and going right but much quicker. It's achieved by jumping up into the air, and before actually leaving the ground shielding and pressing down in the direction behind you. You pretty much slide backwards... .anyway Falco down A is the way to go, just slam the people to their death!

Gday everyone, Zelda's pretty huge down here in Australia. Even though the franchise may not sell the numbers that much, much less deserving games do (*cough* Halo2 *cough*) I can say that OOT is regarded by every gamer I've ever talked to as one of the greatest games of all time. And while WW may have pushed less fanatical Zelda fans away, those who did bother to play it loved it, and anticipation is very high for Twilight Princess here also!

I like to use Marth and Roy most, although I have only recently started to like using them. Before that I used to always use either Link or Zelda.
