What will you name your horse? Personally im going to stick with Epona but mabye you will name it something else....zjames1287I'll also be sticking with Epona, it's tradition and i wouldn't feel right calling my horse anything else.
yes, but you can't as you have to be, i think, level 6.Calpalg5 or 6, i'm not sure ... but once you can there will be the link at the bottom of your screen (when creating a topic) to add a poll to your topic.
do you know why they put these stupid rules in place??zjames1287mostly so that people can't just make 6 or 7 usernames and still get complete features with them. Also there are thousands of GS users and if everyone could use all the features it would make GS pretty slow because of server space, dozens of users use Gamespot for the first week and never log on after that, if you're a dedicated GS member eventually you'll be fine :)
do you know why they put these stupid rules in place??zjames1287I am guessing that this certain rule is set in place simply because they don't want all of these "newer" users going around and having the same priveleges as those who have been around Gamespot for a while and pretty much know the basic rules by now. But once you finally reach a certain level they probably figure that you have been around long enough to know what you should and should not do, although sadly this isn't the case sometimes... But anyways, now it's time to get back on-topic. Like I said before... I plan to stay with the name Epona for my horse. :D
my heros name will be link and my horses name will be epona it has always been that way and i refuse to change i thought most people would fallow this traditionzjames1287usually my first play through of the game i name myself Link but the second or third time around i just use my own name (Dan or Danny)
I am definately sticking with Link for Link and Epona for the horse but I know one of my friends will name Link, Fetus as that's what he names the main character of every game he ever playsPaperMasterFetus? that's an interesting name ... and so far seems like everyone will be sticking with tradition and naming the horse "Epona"

But then again, that's just me. :P
FETUS?!???!! Oh, man. naming your character has always been cool, but some people make it look crappytwilight_link9now that i think about it sounds like one of those "legendary" names. It also sounds like a Final Fantasy characters name ...

It is level 5.
Personally, I'm going to name my horse Brick.

Yes... because when I think of something that gallops gracefully over the vast terrain of Hyrule, I think of a brick. :P But seriously, I was just joking around and I'm sure that you have your own reasons as to why you are going to name it Brick. I actually like how you decided to just go with something so "uncommon" such as that. If you don't mind, can you explain as to why you chose that name?[QUOTE="Gary_Jinfield"]5 or 6, i'm not sure ... but once you can there will be the link at the bottom of your screen (when creating a topic) to add a poll to your topic.[QUOTE="OhhSnap50893"][QUOTE="Calpalg"]yes, but you can't as you have to be, i think, level 6.RandomHero1337

Swift, or Lighting seem a bit more appropriate ... i could understand maybe "Stone Cold" or something but Brick? :PI'll probably be keeping the name Epona, although if I'm angry that day I may end up naming him/her stupidworldgah...or something like that :DMr_Bob471Then we can only hope you're not mad that day ...

If you don't mind, can you explain as to why you chose that name?Back in the day, when I first became a member of Game Spot, I spent a lot of time at the the Twilight Princess which had all sorts of crazy topics. One of these, was a topic that asked for unusual names for the horse that the poster may use. At that time, I believe I was in a drowsy state listening to Pink Floyd's The Wall, and Brick came to mind as a possible name.
Now, when I saw this thread, I was reminded of that December day as well as that thread long gone, so I decided to stick with my choice of Brick. Really, I have grown rather fond of unique names lately.
Plus, Epona was the horse of Link, the Hero of Time, while this is a completely different Link who should accordingly have a different steed. I should also add that I don't like the name Epona at all and I am happy that we get to choose the name of the horse this time. As Link charges into battle upon his trusty steed, it will be as if he was a giant brick hurling towards a hoard of fragile minions.
So there's a story behind it, that makes more sense ... and as you said it is indeed a different Link but if so why are you still naming him Link? Same theory goes with Epona for me. I'll keep both of them with the standard names :) OhhSnap50893
I don't mind the name Link and he has appeared in a lot more Zelda games then the horse. Now if it was the opposite, well that would be quite odd.

true ... I stand corrected. As for naming the horse though i'm still sticking with Epona. I'm hoping you can name more than just the horse in the game though, maybe you can name some of the villagers from Link's town? I think adding more variety to the game would make it a bit better.I'm going with Epona. However if I were to pick anything else, I'd probably go with Rapidash :P:lol: There's some Pokemon flava for ya :PKira-Shinobiclassic Pokemon none the less, i believe Rapidash is from Red and Blue ...

Yup. I don't think Gold, Silver, Crstal, Ruby, Sapphire nor Emerald had any other horse like Pokemon. BTW excluding Sea Horses.

Well, as I have mentioned before, I am a little indecisive when it comes to some things (such as choosing what particular skill to level up in an RPG or, in this case, what to name a town and/or horse). It is that reason why, at times, I like certain things to just be set in a game while still offering a variety of other things for you to "customize" as your own. I know that I am somewhat contradicting myself here, but this is how I feel no matter how strange it may sound. :P[QUOTE="zjames1287"]What will you name your horse? Same
Same thing I name every other animal... Either Fifi (the universal animal name), by it's category so a horse would be named Horse, or some name/word that I liked from a previous zelda game such as Kokari or Gorgon. And possibly Epona in one of my files (assuming I play the game more then once), out of respect of course. LightThiefI don't think i could ever just name it "horse" too bland IMO :P ... Either Fifi reminded me of something like "Ether Fifi", that would be a good name. Epona will always stick out as the right name though.
