The Last Day

A tad bit darker than what i normally do , but i think i did okay. It's also inspired by Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

Damn, if I hadn't seen the stock you used I wouldn't have understand what's there. (except of the threes).

If I am right, I think that you tried to make an image of the destruction of the earth.

As you said, it's too dark. If I were you, I wouldn't use the 2nd stock-texture. I would have used the 3rd one, and add some meteors with motion blur effect. Then make the sky and the whole atmosphere red-ish to look more catastrophic

Text doesn't fit, I like the concept though and the sky area looks nice, if only it were a bit lighter.
