I remember playing Donkey Kong on the Atari 2600 at a friend's house, but the first true Mario game I had ever played was Mario Bros. in the arcades of WI.

Nope. 'Twas my first system and game though. No reaction with the outside world does that to you. :P I thought 8-bit was SO cutting-edge. Nothing to compare it to. No internet also meant 'GET THROUGH THE GAME YOURSLEF DUMBASS'.

I was thinking on replaying this title soon. I often used Peach since she can levitate. Same, it kind of renders Luigi's high jump pointless when floating is so much more useful.

Back in the days, that's all we had. Nowadays, all Nintendo Power is is game previews and reviews.
My first Mario game was "Super Mario Bros.", which I first beat on the original N.E.S. in 1990, followed closely by "Super Mario Bros. 2, Dr. Mario," and "Super Mario Bros. 3." :D

Puzzle games have always been too easy for me. As a result I get bored with most of them pretty quickly. Same with me now, but Doctor Mario was really the first puzzle title I played.
