I don't like the fact that the National Championship, and for the matter, all bowl games are played in the south. It gives the southern teams (Read: SEC, Big 12) an advantage over the northern teams (Read: Big Ten). The Championship is basically a home game for LSU, how is that a "neutral site"?bgres077
Because that's where the bowl games started off, in the South because of the weather issue. Nobody wants to travel up North in the harsh winter and get potentially stuck up there. Please feel free to change tradition at your will.

There's plenty of domes up north, and I know it's never going to change, it's just not exactly fair that the "neutral" site's are always in the south. There is clearly an advantage for the southern teams come bowl season.

Dude, who wants to go to a northern city in late December/early January to watch a bowl game?? A big part of the bowl thing is all the money the alum bring to town. Believe me Miami is much nicer on Jan 1 than Chicago or Detroit as a fan... I just don't see the fans getting excited about going North for these games.

Ugh, stupid ovverated rivalry.
The Red River Shootout? :P
So what are the chances DawgityClev shows up? HAH. Could anyone be more wrong?
I love it, SEC wins it again, congrats.
geaux321
lol yes, troy smith on sec speed being the same as osu's
OSU is still the better team and their band proved it tonight! Espurs117
i already told sith this, michigan's band > osu's band
10. DawgcityClev - 328 points (16-16)
That would be how he finished. He was also 3-6 in games with an SEC team.

Oh yeah well did you see the halftime show huh!?!? OSU won that kicker contest like nothing. Domination all over the place tonight by OSU!
early bcs ncg prediction for next year: uga 42 osu 21?Steelers_86
While that does soundvery tempting. Seeing the Choke-eyes, Luck-eyes,F***-eyes, etc.,gettingtheir asses handed to them every January is a bit of a treat. Still, I don't see OSU winning the Big Ten again next season. I'm thinking next year will be a "transition year" for the conference. Someone that doesn't normally win the title, will. Then, about a year or two after that, Michigan will be back on top of the mountain. :D

Gotta love it. I'll tell you what, the only time I "cheer" for the damn Buckeyes is when it benefits Michigan in some way, or they play a team from Florida. I'm looking at you Miami. What "bad" Pass intereference call? :P

Well, I never really could stand the whole "thug" image of "Da-U". The last couple years before this one really showed that. Florida State has always pissed me off as well. They were to the BCS at the start of the system what the F***-eyes seem to be right now. The last couple years both of those schools were really hyped up, for no reason what-so-ever. Neither had a good QB, or offense in general, and average at best D's. Yet, the media was all over both after the early season games about how "great" the defenses were at shutting down the running game. What ****ing running games? They couldn't run the damn ball because they stunck. Plain and simple. /end rant before I make a massive wall-o-text
Rashard Mendenhall would have been a great help...spfx30
True, losing him will hurt next season. Hopefully, for them, they can find a good replacement.

Thank god people have their priorities straight in this Union. At Sports Games Discussion, there were all these "Michigan" fans who were giving full support to Ohio State. While Ohio State fans who bashed Michigan fans who didn't support Ohio State. Pfft and many of those people were the same ones who argued that Ohio State/Michigan is the greatest rivalry. Unless, their winning benefits your team directly.
To help illustrate how much I truly hate all that is Ohio State, I've got a joke for everyone. Some may have heard it before, some not, enjoy:
Q: How do you get and Ohio State grad off your front porch?
A: You pay for the pizza.

Come on now, I was raised perfectly fine. Here, I'll list some of the Lions' major rivals: Ohio State, Michigan, ND, Miami and USC and Pitt (although, they rarely play each other anymore), Minnesota, and Michigan State. That's all that I can think of right now.

I kinda understand Ohio State, but Michigan? Haven't you guys only beaten us once since joining the Big Ten? I didn't think you guys played ND often enough to consider them a rival. Same with USC and Miami. Pitt, I understand.
