Game Series Tournament: The champion is Mario

Here we shall vote for our favorite game series in a tourney format. I have a bunch of ideas myself, but I'm going to wait to start this and see if you anyone has any game series they would like to nominate.

I nominate Infamous, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Valkyrie Profile, Doom, Fable, The Sims, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

Along with the others nominated, it takes us to 57 games. We just need 7 more to start.

@mario: Resistance is a PS3 exclusive. First game was Resistance: Fall of Man.

So should we do 2 games a match or 4 games a match? After the first round the 4 games a match would then change to 2.

2 Games Per Match Format: 63 matches, 6 rounds, approximately 64 days for the tournament.

4 Games Per Match Format: 31 matches, 5 rounds, approximately 32 days for the tournament.

That's what I was thinking.

I'm nominating Soulcalibur.

Street Fighter, Tekken, King of Fighters, Mortal Komnat, Guilty Gear and Blazblue.

Guess we're done.

I had just thought of some other good ones, but those are good too. Never heard of King of Fighters though.

It was close pick for me between Final Fantasy and Crash, but I chose FF in the end. FF has better games overall. Crash had some excellent games, but that was only back in the PS1 era.

Final Fantasy is the victor!
