What Are You Playing?
When I started playing the game, I thought this was supposed to be a prequel to the series, and you would play as a young, immature Samus. Actually not the case. Other M takes place right after the events of Super Metroid, so Samus is already pretty well-along. When I think Samus, I think lone wolf, dark, B.A., do-what-I-want-bounty-hunter. They totally destroy that image in this game. She's always whining and complaining about the baby metroid dying, whining and complaining about how immature she was when she was a young adult, whine whine regrets this, whine whine I suck. Her voice actor is terrible (so is everyone else's). It's like Metroid: The Soap Opera, practically.There's this one part about seven hours into the game where...[spoiler] Ridley shows up and Samus just stands there frozen in fear, whimpering like a child, having flash-backs about Ridley killing her parents--All the while Ridley is killing one of Samus' buddies and he actually does end up dying.
